is wearing my patience to the bone! Rafe is getting a little too cockey for me; E.J. is even more boring than Eric right about now; and Sami …. JUST STOP, PLEASE.
I’ll start with Rafe, because I can tolerate him the most. Lately, he’s not Rafe to me. Oh, he’s giving Sami what she deserves, but he’s being a hypocrite at the same time. I mean, let’s face it, Sami can drive a sane man nuts, or vice-versa — just look what she’s doing to E.J. But, I always thought Rafe and Sami were perfect for each other, because she made him feel love again at a time in his life when he was lost because of his ex’s death (can’t even remember her name). He was kind, sweet, romantic, thoughtful, caring, and oozing sexual tension with Sami. Now, he seems to have hardened (I know, who wouldn’t after being with Sami). He’s become a little two-faced to me as well. Aside from that ridiculous affair with Carrie, he’s been a little too quick to judge others when he knows full well everything Gabi did when she was involved with Andrew, and has yet to reveal it to anyone. Blood might be thicker than water, but it’s on little sis’ hands, too, Rafester, so don’t be so quick to judge others. Nothing is ever Gabi’s fault, as you will soon once again determine to be the case.
I need E.J. and Sami to either be given a true-test relationship of falling in love with each other, which has never happened with any set of writers, or separate them once and for all. I can’t take this much longer; they are ruining this show for me with the writing for these three. James Scott should or would be going nuts if he read the boards, or twitter or facebook; for the first time in forever, perhaps since he raped Samantha, I have never seen so many disappointed fans complaining about him in their messages. It’s like people (especially the women) still think he deserves to be Soap’s #1 Hunk, but they hate the character now. It’s the writers, ladies, not JS, although I sometimes truly wonder if he’s on his way out.
And last, but certainly not least, Samantha Gene, you have totally lost your senses, and by that I mean, literally, you have lost sight of yourself and how ridiculous your life has become; you have lost your ability to hear yourself when whenever you open your mouth to speak; that smell you choose to ignore is your own bullshit; that sour taste you have learned to acquire is your own venom that you constantly spew whenever things don’t go your way; and everything you touch, regardless of your good intentions, turns to ….. well, need I even say it?
Fans everywhere need salvation from this trio!
But I agree with you, everything you said, Patti. None of these characters is recognizable anymore. Rafe, well he is starting to seem more and more like Faux-Rafe, everything from the leering looks he throws Sami to the squeezing her knee in church yesterday. Maybe he is trying to become more like EJ in the hopes that Sami will be attracted to him then? Maybe that is the storyline here, make Rafe more EJ and EJ more Rafe but…
EJ well, he is the guy we loved to hate. Now he’s what…pathetic? No spunk, no fire, letting Kristen walk all over him. When is he going to wake up and smell the Stefano in all of this? I would love to see EJ become so enraged with Stefano and Kristen that he disavows the family BUT remains a DiMera in his behavior. Striking out on his own and buildind his own empire to get back at Daddy. That could be interesting.
And Sami, well, what can I say? This corporate girl Sami is just not working for me. they need to let Sami grow up but still be herself at work and in her personal life. There are parts of Sami that everyone agrees need to chnage but they can just mature those parts, not get rid of them all together, if that makes any sense. Make her more of a strong willed woman, less of a willful child. Keep her feistiness just channel it better.
I thought the only person who knew was Chad. Well, Will knows too, doesn’t he? But I don’t ever remember Rafe finding out anything.
because EJ knew and was holding it against him, I think, so he wouldn’t get back with Sami. It was when Chad was threatening to tell all and then EJ went and told Rafe and he told Rafe if he would leave Sami alone he wouldn’t turn in Gabi, as I recall. Then Gabi went and told Melanie what happened, then Mel found out Chad knew and then Nick was released and Chad wanted to marry Mel, and then that was when Melanie left. Very vague recollections. Not sure if all of this is coherent time lines but something like that.
Especially about Sami! I cringe everytime she’s on lately. I find myself begging for these characters to disappear upstairs at the Brady Pub. This story is truly a case of beating a dead horse. I’m so tired of it. I lovedRafe and Sami, but I can’t take her gullible indecision. Honestly, how can she have any feelings for EJ? He’s only the father of one of her children because he raped her and the other one because she was forced to marry him. It’s killing me!
she was going to go to jail. This was when Chad overheard the whole story when Andrew was on his death-bed and that’s when all of Gabi’s troubles came to be. After Chad realized she was involved in Mel’s kidnapping, and knew all the while that Andrew was holding Melanie, he hated Gabi and threatened to expose her. That’s when she finally told Nick. When Chad saw that Gabi was walking around scott free, and now had a loving relationship with Nick, he hated both Nick and Gabi and swore revenge on Gabi, but instead went of half-cocked and beat the living daylights out of Nick. That’s when Nick got Chad over a barrel and he had to sign that stupid agreement Justin drew up or Nick was going to prosecute him for assaulting him. Anyway, that’s when Gabi decided to let Rafe in on everything, because she was afraid she was going to jail. But, Rafe is the only one, besides Nick, who knows that Gabi was involved in Mel’s kidnapping, and Rafe chose to keep it all to himself.
he knows that Gabi was trying to break up Chad and Mel’s romance, but he has no idea that Gabi was involved in Melanie’s kidnapping, or that she went along with Andrew when he decided to keep Melanie as his prisoner. I hope when the truth comes out, Will will find out just how much Gabi has been deceiving him as well. Aside from Rafe, who Gabi told, the only other person who knows the truth, now, is Sonny, because Chad told him the whole story, but Sonny still has not told Will.
