January 13, 2013 at 1:49 am #37203maxineParticipantGood game … Congrats !!!
January 13, 2013 at 3:01 am #37205PattiParticipantThanks, Maxine. I’m bleeding purple right now! No nails left, though!!
LOVE MY RAVENS … WHAT A GAME!!!
January 13, 2013 at 3:06 pm #37219caseyParticipantThat was a glued to your seat one – Patti, you must be ecstatic! To beat Manning at home – what an accomplishment. Bet no one’s dissing Flacco today! And as ever, what can you say about the soul of the team – the one and only Ray Lewis – classy, talented, humble. I bet he could play for years yet!
I am thrilled for all you Ravs fans!January 13, 2013 at 4:36 pm #37225PattiParticipantexcept for people in Baltimore, no one gives Joe Flacco the credit he deserves, especially the media and the sports commentators. But, that’s okay, they’re all eating their words today…. and I’m loving it. To go to Mile High in that thin air and play the kind of game we played against a team that happens to be led by one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game, and to win it with style and character and stats that are rocking the sports world today …. well, we just cannot be more proud of our team.
I don’t know whether this will be our year at the dance, but I can tell you this, Cinderella came to the ball ready to dance the night away! LOL!
GO RAVENS — ALL THE WAY!
January 13, 2013 at 5:42 pm #37227BonbonParticipantmy football ignorance. Who are the contenders for the Super Bowl. I think I heard the 49ers? If so, I’ll have a dog in this race.
January 13, 2013 at 7:01 pm #37229PattiParticipantHere’s how it works, Bon. San Francisco already won yesterday when they beat the Green Bay Packers, so San Francisco and the Ravens, who beat the Denver Broncos, have both advanced in the playoffs. Today’s games are between the Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Seahawks in the first game, and then the New England Patriots go against the Houston Texans in the late game. Today’s game winners will then advance to play the Ravens and the 49ers to see which two teams advance to the division conference championship title. The Ravens are in the AFC (American Football Conference) and would play the winner of today’s Houston/New England game next week; while the 49ers are in the NFC (National Football Conference), and would face the winner of today’s Atlanta/Seattle game. So, the winners of next week’s games would win their conference championships and advance to the Superbowl, which will be played in New Orleans on February 3, 2013. So, do you now understand football? LOL!
January 13, 2013 at 9:54 pm #37231BonbonParticipantthe Niners against the Ravens? I guess we’ll have to disagree on THAT one. (I DO know what the AFC and NFC is.) I actually was a pretty big football fan until I moved to FL, then kinda lost interest. I just can’t get invested in the Dolfins.
I didn’t realize there were still so many games left to be played. Thanks for your explanation.
January 14, 2013 at 4:09 pm #37243caseyParticipant49rs vs Falcons to see who advances to the big show. IMO San Fran is the stronger team but that’s why they don’t play them on paper!
