was very interesting with all that was happening. I especially liked the conversation between Sami and Will, even though it started with Sami screaming at Will….nothing new there. But, I was really liking Will’s demeanor and the calm way he responded to Sami. That was the first time that I really had a feeling of understanding Will’s desire for his child to be free from all the family conflict that he grew up with. His remarks to Sami were straight to her heart with the writers actually having Sami acknowledge his struggle growing up. Of course, most of Sami’s comments were "I, I, I"…which we have come to expect. However, it was still a very intense conversation and Will was really getting his point across showing the emotional turmoil he’s enduring.
January 19, 2013 at 1:07 am #37386MKParticipantI just watched it on my DVR and I loved every minute of it. I too liked Will talking to Sami and tying in his own childhood. His explanation of his wanting his child to have two parents was really good and he was being so open and honest. It was funny whe Sami first walked into the apartment and Will said "don’t you ever work"? That was awesome!
I loved all the conversations today. I thought the writing was excellent. Did not like John at all. He was acting like a jerk and I could not stand watching him treat Marlena like that. Si I guess that means he will be gone for a while.
January 19, 2013 at 3:09 am #37387majencoParticipantI agree about Will and Sami. This was the most adult conversation I have ever witnessed between these two.
January 19, 2013 at 4:33 am #37389caseyParticipantthe way they’ve been writing this couple lately. That they should sink to this insipid level over essentially nothing. If both had simply ignored Kristen she would not have any ammo. Love the way ED is playing her role though.
January 19, 2013 at 3:38 pm #37391mommytutuParticipantTotally agree that those scenes were very well written. I think Chandler Massey is a fantastic actor. He has played his scenes so well. I have so much empathy for Will.
John is being written poorly. I guess this is how he’ll be written off. We’ll hate him and his behavior so much we’ll be glad to see him go. Sorry but he is being completely out of character for me. From believing Kristin had changed to getting his panties in a wad because Marlena knew about Kristin and Brady. This is so totally unbelievable.
January 19, 2013 at 3:41 pm #37393PattiParticipantI think these are the same writers who wrote John off before. For some reason they do not seem to want to write for J&M. Does this mean Marlena’s not far behind? I would hate that.
January 19, 2013 at 3:43 pm #37395PattiParticipantI could see both sides, and thought the writers as well as AS and CM handled it beautifully. My understanding as well as my sympathy went out to both of them. Kudos on their scenes; now do something with John and Marlena, because there is no way in hell that they would act this way to one another, especially John.
January 19, 2013 at 3:51 pm #37397caseyParticipantI don’t know if this is common knowledge, but it’s news to me. If so why was he brought back for essentially no reason? And what about Marlena?
January 19, 2013 at 4:00 pm #37399PattiParticipantthe fact that there are rumors abound has people wondering if they are doing it to Drake …. AGAIN!
January 19, 2013 at 10:33 pm #37401shadowParticipantMarlena hasn’t acted normal since she and John came back on the show. The things she has done is totally out of character for her. I guess she was so "afraid, worried, paranoid of whatever" that she didn’t know how to take on Kristen.
I thought she acted really silly with Will lots of times.
She just wasn’t the same Marlena. And those gloves she wore when she came back at first. It seemed she had a fixation with them.
John – well I don’t know what to say about him.
January 19, 2013 at 10:47 pm #37402caseyParticipantthat Days always turns to problems within relationships? There is a whole big wide world out there of SLs that don’t have to do with breaking up couples. Why not, for instance, have something to do with the fashion world and Basic Black. BB has always been just a company of John’s – I mean he may as well own a cement truck co. – for all that matters.
Does Days really think their current path for this once bigtime Super Couple is entertaining us?January 22, 2013 at 1:59 pm #37416justwonderingParticipantIt is a Soap Opera commandment. After spending so much time getting a coule together, they are only allowed two minutes of happiness when some dark secret or some little lie comes along to break them up. Think about every single couple has been broken up at least once. I am not sure about Tom and Alice, but everyone else have broken up, moved on and then later on got back together. I guess that they feel happiness is boring.
January 22, 2013 at 2:16 pm #37417PattiParticipantbut they’re so darn addictive, I just can’t seem to stop myself. I’ve been watching DAYS practically since it’s beginning. Honestly, the show used to be so good that I would come home on my lunch hour to watch it. That was before they allowed you to have TV in the workplace. Now, it’s more predictable than watchable, for me anyway.
January 22, 2013 at 9:57 pm #37420BonbonParticipantA couple of times. Once when they found out their marriage certificate wasn’t valid and another time when he was Norm de Plume and Alice thought he was having an affair with Caliope. Those are just two off the top of my head.
