I’m surprised I’m the first to comment on that spectacular win over big bad Brady and Patriots. What’s going on with Flacco – he looks like the next coming of Joe Montana!
It will be the Harbaugh boys battling it out in the Super Bowl. Like I said before – is Baltimore a team of destiny?January 21, 2013 at 3:08 pm #37408PattiParticipantso you beat me to it casey. I am probably still drunk with happiness today, no kidding. I never lost faith in the Ravens, even though the media, other sports professionals, players and coaches, never gave them the credit they have deserved, even though they have gone to the playoffs five straight years. But, that’s their prerogative, I guess, but it does my heart proud to be able to tell them it’s a little late the jump on the bandwagon.
Yes, it’s going to be as I predicted, the "Harbowl" with, for the first time I might add, the Superbowl being played by two teams with brothers as their head coaches. Jack and Jackie Harbaugh must be bursting with pride today, and who can blame them. To have your two sons on opposite sides coaching their teams in the Superbowl must be beyond the imagination of any parents I can think of who, whether they are in a sports-related family or not. Suffice it to say, they will have no favorite in this game. LOL!
I’m just so proud of the Ravens, and yes, maybe now the talking heads in the sports media will give Joe the credit he so richly deserves. Congratulations, also, to John Harbaugh’s younger brother, Jim, who proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the 49ers are also a team to be reckoned with this year. Hats off to two teams, led by two brothers, very evenly matched from the quarterbacks to the guys on the bench. I can’t even talk today, and this city is going wacko for Flacco, but we also can’t help but be proud of little brother Jim and his 49ers. See you in New Orleans, where not only I’m hoping for a Superbowl win, but the final game of a legend, Ray Lewis. What a party this will be on February 3rd.
GOOOOO RAVENS —- WHOOP WHOOP !!!!!
January 21, 2013 at 9:39 pm #37411BonbonParticipantthink the49ers weren’t a team to be reckoned with? They have won more Super Bowls than any other team but the Steelers. And this year they will become tied with them in wins…six each. I don’t think there’s any doubt in anybody’s mind what kind of team the Niners are. The Ravens would do well to take them very seriously.
January 21, 2013 at 10:50 pm #37412caseyParticipantthe Niners are up to this task for sure. They have one of the most exciting young QBs who can burn you with his running. I think this is a very evenly matched game on paper with San Fran maybe even being favored.
But the Ravens have really shown me something in their playoff wins – an intangible that could just carry them through. I’m just hoping for a good close game.January 21, 2013 at 11:26 pm #37413BonbonParticipantthe Niners are favored by five. And nobody should underestimate their O-line.
January 21, 2013 at 11:43 pm #37414PattiParticipantI wasn’t doubting them, Bonbon — I was congratulating them!!!!!
January 22, 2013 at 1:55 pm #37415caseyParticipantyou’re starting to get into it!
