smell the coffee and listen to your posse, or sign the damn papers already!
March 1, 2013 at 8:02 pm #38256BonbonParticipantlike a deer in the headlights. I’m surprised his tongue wasn’t hanging out, he was drooling and his eyes were crossed. I was hoping he’d take those papers and drop them on the floor right in front of Nick. I’ll say one thing for Nick, he must have a set of steel ones to be so smug in front of all those people like that.
If Will signs those papers I don’t know if I’ll be able to watch again on Monday. Maybe it’ll help having the weekend to cool down…we’ll see.
March 1, 2013 at 11:10 pm #38267caseyParticipantFirst off, it wouldn’t be like him to give in and tell Will to sign. And what did Nick put in his pocket that caught EJ’s eye? Were we to take from that that EJ has a plan? I’ll say it again, Will has to take a stand and not act so victimized all the time and on the verge of tears. You’re going to be a father so act like one!
March 1, 2013 at 11:36 pm #38268PattiParticipantwhen E.J. left the room. Then, we see him reappear just when the notary comes in with the document for Will to sign away his rights. Then, Nick hands it to E.J. to review it. E.J. does and then returns the document to Nick, who asks for a pen and proceeds to hand the document and the pen to Will to sign. Wouldn’t it be hysterical if E.J. already had his own custody lawyer on retainer for Will. Maybe he stepped out and called him and that’s who showed up and not Nick’s notary. Remember, Nick asked his lawyer if he had a notary in his office who could bring the document to the hospital, room 4, so I’m thinking Nick never saw this guy in person anyway. Now, instead of Will signing a document renouncing his baby, he signed E.J.’s lawyer’s document indicating Will to be the biological father. Hahaha, that would be something to behold — then when he leaves, Nick’s notary shows up with the document Nick had prepared. Could it happen — sure could and wouldn’t that be fun to watch? As far as I can remember, Nick never did read the document before or after he gave it to E.J. to review; he simply asked for a pen and handed it over to Will. Now, this is probably not the case, because there are no spoilers on this, just that Will signs the document, so this is just speculation, but I would love to see it happen that way.
March 1, 2013 at 11:53 pm #38269NoraParticipantOh man that would be awesome!! that would totally p*ss nick off! that would almost be as fun to watch as watching Kate tell Sami that she’s sleeping with rafe!
March 2, 2013 at 12:57 am #38270caseyParticipantI love it! And it was indeed strange of EJ to leave the room. Plus, EJ was awfully quiet during the entire proceedings. And if Will doesn’t read the paper and no one else does, maybe no one including the audience will be in on it until it becomes the big surprise down the road.
Of course if Nick’s notary shows up wouldn’t Nick force the other paper to be torn up?March 2, 2013 at 1:57 am #38271BonbonParticipantNick wasn’t signing the paper, only Will was. There would be no reason for him to sign it.
March 2, 2013 at 4:20 am #38274DeeLanParticipantWouldn’t those papers be thrown out in court? I mean Will was blackmailed into signing them and he has a lot of witnesses including Nick’s lawyer or notary or whatever that guy was.
March 2, 2013 at 8:25 am #38275BonbonParticipantthat, yes, he is being blackmailed but I don’t think it would be thrown out in court because it would be tough to prove. Nick would just say he basically was convincing Will that the baby would be better off if he signed because of the effect his family would have on the baby and he’d probably deny he said anything about Will shooting EJ. Very grey area IMO.
March 2, 2013 at 2:54 pm #38281PattiParticipantbut it’s Salem, Bonbon, and for as much as you love to pick just about everything that happens on this show apart, you and I both know it’s very easily done. Whether one chooses to accept the believability of it or not is another thing entirely.
March 2, 2013 at 3:09 pm #38282PattiParticipantthat E.J. reviewed the document. Will is a screwed up mess over all of this, so why wouldn’t he sign it if he believes E.J. already found it to be legally acceptable in a court of law. Nick, in his over-anxious intent to get it filed, could easily then hand it over to the notary, who signs as the notary public, in this case E.J.’s notary, leaves the room.
My personal opinion still remains that Will is too immature to be a parent right now, but in no way would I want that creepy homophobe Nick anywhere near that child either.
Again, this won’t happen, but I think something happened. Too much coincidence here. And what was with Sami picking up the phone on the table? I know she couldn’t find her phone, but was that Sami’s phone or was it Nick’s phone that she picked up? Nick had a phone in his hand when Will, Sami, Lucas and Sonny entered the room. Later we see Nick put a phone down on the table. Then we see Sami, at some point, pick up a phone from the same table. So, whose phone did she pick up?
Too many weird coincidences here not to question any of them.
March 2, 2013 at 5:37 pm #38286BonbonParticipantThat was kind of harsh. Did I REALLY deserve THAT?
March 2, 2013 at 6:17 pm #38287PattiParticipantit was just my observation. I do apologize if I offended you, though.
March 2, 2013 at 9:52 pm #38290mommytutuParticipantHe’s a lawyer and after I explained what was going on his first words were statute of limitations. Secondly, he noticed that any good lawyer wouldn’t have done the quick glance that EJ did. A good lawyer would have taken the papers and read them line by line. My husband spends more time reading a car loan than EJ did reading that paper giving up custody. Lastly, even though Lucas took the blame for Wills crime, they can’t get him for perjury now, he’s already served time on the attempted murder charge and EJ is not dying to press any charges. The whole scene is stupid and non-sensical.
March 3, 2013 at 2:57 pm #38293caseyParticipantmake anything of Sami missing her phone and picking it up off the table if it were hers? So might it be Nick’s? That entire scene was weird from EJ leaving, to EJ being silent, to EJ giving a periphery glance at the document.
