with Vargas now entering the picture. The way I’m looking at it is the character is going to live at the church, all the while planning his revenge on Nick. Yesterday showed us so many interesting things about Vargas:
1. Love the way the writers entangled his leaving prison with Nick and Gabi’s wedding. I thought it was brilliant the way they were going back and forth within the scene, and then the ring exchange showed Gabi putting on Nick’s ring, and cut to Vargas putting on what looked like a wedding band on his right hand. I don’t have to tell you how many thoughts are racing through my mind about that scene, but I know it will wind up having some meaning.
2. Nicole, me thinks thou doth protest too much. Poor Nikki, can’t get the good Father to realize he still loves her and wants her over God and the church. Taaa-daaa – enter Vargas, who will be living under the same roof and let’s face it, we all know Nicole loves the bad boys. Will she begin trying to make Father Eric jealous at some point and wind up having feelings for the criminal instead, knowing it would hurt Eric deeply? Oh, well, what’s that saying —- oh yeah, "POT, YOU ARE ABOUT TO MEET KETTLE!" LOL! I have a feeling I’m going to enjoy Vargas for whatever time he’s here. Besides, he’s sort of hawt and sexy in a very bad sort of way — sort of like E.J. used to be.
I don’t know why nobody sees it. You can tell just by looking at him he’s a bad guy. I think you have way more hopes for him than I do. I have no interest in him at all.
think of him as a fringe player. But then it’s way too early and we’ll see how this develops.
Now what’s with his wedding band?your second answer. I think since Nick is the reason Vargas got 3 years tacked onto his sentence from Nick "snitching" on him being the one who stabbed him, Vargas made Nick enter into a prison marriage to protect him from the other inmates coming after him for being a snitch. I don’t know how prison marriages work, but Vargas put the ring on his right hand. Maybe he made Nick marry him in exchange to feeding him to the other prison inmate wolves. Haha, I am so going to enjoy seeing Nick’s expression the first time he realizes Vargas is in Salem.

So okay, if Nick got married in prison and it’s legit, then Nick’s marriage to Gabs is obviously null and void. I so hope it goes this way, and if so could be quite interesting.
