I think Salem’s most hated is referring to Nick, Kristen, and Chloe. I think all of their schemes are about to blow up in their faces.

I read an article in the Soap opera Digest where Nick commented on the hate mail he is getting via twitter etc so I hope TPTB fixes Nick,

It’s so ridiculous that some people can’t separate the actor from the character. Days is fiction, and Nick is just a character. Some people are nuts.

if you hate the character and tell the actor that you do doesn’t mean you hate the actor. I think Blake is doing such a good job of portraying Nick as just this side of unbalanced that he deserves to be told how real he is making it.

There are actually unballanced people out there who can’t separate the actor from the character, but that has gone on for ages. I think it was Jackie Collins who used to get terrible hate mail directed at her personally, not her character, and I’m sure there have been many others. These kinds of people shouldn’t be allowed to watch TV (or movies).

You have to admit, we see that to some extent here. How many people hate EJ so much they want him gone from the show? Even though James is a terrific actor and a nice pleasant person IRL. They are even unable to accept a redemption for him.

I don’t think that’s the case here. Yes, if a viewer tells the actor that they hate the character, that is one thing. But I think it’s saying that the actor himself is getting hate mail directed at him; not the character. That is crazy and some people do it which is unfathomable to me.

This reminds me of the Friends episode when Joey was on Days, he got an obsessed fan, played by Brooke shields, she thought Dr. drake Remore(sp?) was real and that Salem was an actual place.
