Are you kidding me? That winning team’s dresses were horrible, both of them. I don’t care if they were supposed to be avant guard. The winning one looked like a tent. And that print was just plain butt ugly. I’d even go so far as to say fugly (although probably best of the three)!
Heidi liked Patricia’s dress? OMG, she looked like an abandoned papoose. Didn’t like the print, didn’t like the design. I just thought that these creative people should have come up with some fabulous fabric designs but I didn’t like any of them.
And I thought that pleated shirt was one of the best ones there. How creative to reverse the pleats like that. I guess I don’t know fashion.
I’m glad they’re going individual next week. I haven’t liked this team concept at all. It seems to be holding the creativity of one or the other members back.
Daniel’s. I understand the challenge was supposed to be based on art but that “circus tent” of Patricia’s was a hot mess.
I liked was Daniel’s short plaid skirt with the black jacket. His partner, Layana (?), made an awful outfit–otherwise I think he would have won. And, how about that drama she put on? She kept blaming Daniel for taking credit for his own dress! Give me a break. He was much more generous toward her than I would have been.
I don’t like the teams either. If one of the team members doesn’t do well, the judges blame the other team member for not bringing him/her up to speed. It’s a no-win situation for the stronger team member. Next week I see that the show does away with the teams only to bring back former contestants to help them! I may be mistaken, but on the previews I think I saw Richard back on the show helping Patricia. Poor woman can’t win for losing.
I agree, bluebonnet, about Daniels outfit. I loved it and he should have won. I never cared for Layana. From the first episode I found her way too full of herself. She was so mean to Daniel instead of giving him the credit he deserved. I so agreed with Heidi when she said that Layana thinks she is the cat’s meow. In fact, I seem to remember in the first or second episode, that Daniel helped her with a skirt and I think she may have won that challenge and never gave him credit. I hope she goes home next but I doubt that will happen. I love Daniel. He is my favorite personality wise. I still have not warmed to the players like I have in past seasons.
a key reason why the team concept doesn’t work as well. You don’t get to see each designer separately, only in conjunction with one another. We don’t get to see the full individual personalites this way, nor what they can truly deliver.
to get Richard out of there for weeks. I don’t think his was the worst. I thought Patricia’s was. Michelle is so damn sure she’s going to win this, you can see right through her thoughts. She sure doesn’t need any pats on the back from the judges; her arm is long enough to do it herself. But, I hope Daniel wins it.
