No surprises there but it now looks very apparent that it will be Stanley to win the whole ball of wax. From the way the judges and fellow designers spoke about him, he’s practically got it in the bag.
Too bad though because I’d really like to see Daniel win. I think as a person, he is the nicest one there yet kind of like Andy Dick in his emotions. But his creativity is not quite on the same level as Stanley. Also, Stanley is a perfectionist which makes his designs always come out perfectly constructed.
I really thought Patricia’s outfit was the worst, I think they’re hanging on to her because of her creative fabric which I disagree with. This is a designer contest not a textile creation one.
Did you notice how much luggage everyone took for only one day?
Daniel win it, but maybe we’re being “set up” by the judges fawning over Stan. Who knows – Michele could take it.
but Richard is most improved, IMO. I just hated Michelle’s design. I, too, thought it looked dirty and was not at all made well. The breastplate, or whatever that was, did not fit the model well, IMO, and the dress itself, IMO, was an atrocity. Hated it. But, she seems, to me, to be the designer all of them fawn over, not Stanley. She’ll come through for fashion week, though, I’m sure. Sorry, but I don’t know what everyone sees in Patricia. She’s not high fashion, or even what I would perceive as a top of the line designer, in any way. She tries to make her clothes look like a painting because of her love of working with textiles, and for me they come out looking like a cheap knock-off, and that doesn’t impress me; but, that’s just me. The right person went home. It was time for Layana (sp?) to go.
I think you meant to say Daniel, not Richard. Richard is the bald guy that couldn’t design well at all. I love Daniel and have from the beginning.
I haven’t watched last night’s episode yet but had to read this thread as I am dying to know who went home. I am shocked that Layana went home! She was very good though I can’t say I am unhappy about her leaving as I did not like her "I’m better than everyone else" attitude. She was so full of herself. But wow, I am still shocked. Can’t wait to watch it later!
I just plain don’t like her and I don’t like her designs.
They keep saying Daniel designs more for the “mature” woman so that may be why I like his. Plus, I think he’s one of the nicest of them all personality-wise. But I don’t see any way they’ll pick him unless he does something really fantastic for Fashion Week.
Except for Mongo, my favorite has never won anyway.
