Nice to see Marlena NOT pining away for once…. Sami & Kate scenes are always delish… Love that the RE-SHOT the slap scene as it didn’t end Tue the way it started today. Sonny & Will at the end – super cute!!!
Great show overall today – I really enjoyed it!!!
I really enjoyed the whole show and even teared up at parts.
Not sure if I’m reading more into things than I’m supposed to, but I’m really realizing none of Gabi’s support system is there in the hospital with her, and nearly all of Will’s support system is there. Is this to show that no matter how good/bad his family may get along, they can come together when they need to and they’ll be there for the baby? Incentive to put Will’s name on the birth certificate?
Also noted Marlena was there and also separated from John. It’s been mentioned so much in the past that she was helping John and was never there for Sami through Sydney’s birth/death/kidnapping, etc. Does she have time for her family now that John isn’t in her life and does that fit into what Kristen was talking to Eric about the other day?
It was so nice to see a family so happy about a birth. It seemed like a genuine family moment and I can’t recall that there was such a happiness surrounding a birth on Days in a long time. Something that can be fairly common in real life (in comparison to most family events on this show), yet so refreshing to see here.
Now that we know the writers can provide real entertainment, it’s going to be difficult to sit through some of the long drawn out stuff over the next few months.
certainly did look real. They did a nice job with it. Also, when Kristin slapped John the other day, it looked very real also. I thought maybe she really did slap him. I was waiting to see a red mark on his face.
though for Gabi both Will and Rafe were unable to be with her. And everyone huddling around the newborn was a given. Maybe they will stop in on Gabi today.
But ITA if the writers can come up with this, they should be able to move things along more.since for me this was probably the BEST sweeps month I have seen on DAYS in a very, very long while. We are in or very near the end of May sweeps, and we haven’t even started on the Bristen collapse, nor have we stepped into the world of the fall of the DiMera empire, if there is to be one, as well as the J&M saga. So, the writing has definitely improved, IMO. I know there are some new umbrella storylines coming up, again involving lots of characters, so I have high hopes DOOL is on the rise and will not disappoint.
