Even for soaps this one’s too stupid to believe! Just an hour or so before, the “kidnapping” deal fell through and Sami is at the pub grieving. Then in pops EJ w/the kid.
Who on earth would buy this?!March 5, 2010 at 10:52 pm #11112IzzyBParticipantRafe is not going to buy it. I still say this is going to blow up in EJ’s face at some point and someone is going to find out the truth. Something with Nicole has to solve something in this puzzle. This is too easy of an end to a SL and this SL is NOT over.
But Sami will never think anything of it, because emotion is going to take over. She will be so happy to see Sydney there is NO way she is going to question anything and I don’t blame her.
March 5, 2010 at 11:26 pm #11115loritrollParticipantI was honestly SHOCKED when he walked with her. I didn’t expect that at all. I know he’s going to use this to manipulate Sami, but I don’t understand how he thinks that Rafe won’t be suspicious. Surprising twist for me.
March 6, 2010 at 1:02 am #11116GrockieParticipantthey showed the stupid scene in previews during "Mercy".
March 6, 2010 at 12:05 pm #11121BonbonParticipantDidn’t she look absolutely adorable in her little color coordinated outfit and matching scarf. Whoever is dressing her certain does an amazing job. Heck, Suri Cruise has nothing on her. I just wish they’d put her on the floor once so we can see that she walks.
This was a case for not reading spoilers. Isn’t it much more exciting when you didn’t know it was coming? I’m so anxious to see Sami’s reaction. I thought she was doing a great job trying to hide what EJ had told her from Rafe. I think it would have taken super-human fortitute to not break down and tell him everything.
March 6, 2010 at 2:05 pm #11125SWParticipantgoing to cause Rafe to be curious? If EJ just got his kid back from a kidnapper: did he stop by the Baby Gap or some other high-end store to pick up a new wardrobe for her before bringing her to Sami? What kind of a kidnapper, who demands $5 million for her, also makes sure she has a brand new wardrobe before she’s picked up? Hmmm, any cop in their right mind should be wondering about that one! Yes, she’s been gone a long time (Sami commented on how much she’s grown.) and they might have had to get her one or two things to wear but most kidnappers I’ve heard of don’t spend money to make sure the kid has a co-ordinated outfit! hmmmm Rafe, quick – start thinking!
March 6, 2010 at 2:43 pm #11126PattiParticipantSami may choose to live in the moment, and I wouldn’t blame her for it one bit; however, Rafe has to know and continue to investigate the Sydnapper. Of course, the whole scene was ridiculous to me. In one scene the Sydnapper is telling Sami that their ‘dawta’ is dead, then he takes a call from Rafe, asking where he is because he hears ‘horns’ in the background, Rafe reveals he and Sami are at the Pub, and in the next scene he’s waltzing into the Pub with Sydney like he just found her sitting on his doorstep. I cannot tell you how disappointed I will be if they don’t explain this to my satisfaction.
March 6, 2010 at 2:47 pm #11127lynnekarenParticipantSami will buy it. Ridiculous. My reaction wouldn’t have been to sit there wide eyed, half smiling. I’d have screamed and ran to her. lol
March 6, 2010 at 5:53 pm #1112953tdogsParticipantI was thinking this is another one of those fantasy type scenes (those teasers) that they do on the show. That Sami was just imaging it (like the "shower scene in Dallas" for you older folks that may remember that) and the writers were going to torture us fans more!
Perhaps, Sami after wishing and hoping and praying for a miracle for so long now just couldn’t believe her eyes for a second – she may have PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), after having two (Grace and Sydney) children ripped away from her. I still think Marlena should come back – there’s a lot of messed up psyche’s in Salem.
March 6, 2010 at 8:28 pm #11131BonbonParticipantwhy someone hasn’t gotten some mental help for Sami. It’s bad enough that she has a daughter die but then to have one kidnapped shortly after should be a strong signal that she needs to be talking to someone. I wouldn’t be suprised if she didn’t go potty-round-the-bend any minute. And then having EJ playing ping-pong with her emotions every day, I’m surprised she’s not in a rubber room right now.
March 8, 2010 at 7:40 pm #11138mommytutuParticipantEJ is awful, this story is awful and if Sami buys it she is awful too. I can’t believe the writers are allowing Sami to be so gullible where EJ is concerned and treating Rafe so badly. I’m glad Sydney’s back but I hope the truth comes out soon because I hate seeing EJ get away with this mess.
March 8, 2010 at 10:24 pm #11140caseyParticipantWhen he and Sami and EJ are in a room together, EJ and Sami appear on one side and Rafe is left like by the door looking isolated, a bit woebegotten and a third wheel.
I hate that the writers continue to pull the wool over Sami’s eyes and this eternal seesaw of putting Rafe off to the side when trouble comes and then running back to him for two seconds, claiming he’s her man.
Rafe IMO should stop acting like a dorky puppy and leave Sami in the dust until she grows up and wants a genuine honest relationship. He should let her have it big time.March 9, 2010 at 12:31 pm #11143luckeyParticipantwith this story. For heaven’s sake, it’s just a soap! But, yesterday evening when I sat down to watch Monday’s show, I really and truly did not want to watch it because I’d have to see the ugly, disgusting interaction the writers have spewed at us between Sami and EJ. I hope I’m proven wrong, but I have this gut feeling that the writers are not going to allow EJ to be caught at what he did. Now that Rafe knows that Sami lied to him for the millionth time, it would be so great to see him walk away and stay away. I’d like for him to find out the truth about EJ’s actions, take them to his superiors and Roman and let them confront EJ with it. I don’t want Rafe to be the one to confront EJ because the way the writers have Rafe’s character written, EJ would insult and degrade him and he’d crawl away like a kicked puppy. There’s a lot of speculation that when Nicole returns, the sh– will hit the fan at some point and all will be found out. If the history of these writers holds steady, I just don’t see that happening.
March 9, 2010 at 1:59 pm #11144PattiParticipanthas been nothing more than Satan dangling the apple in front of Eve; or, in this case, Sami. I don’t believe she has any feelings for E.J., and she’s been known to show it vehemently when she talks to or about him. But, let’s face it, right now he’s her shining star, her "hero" as she called him, and Rafe has ‘talked’ good game, but he’s been unable to deliver, because there was never a delivery to be made. E.J. saw to that. It’s E.J. that fascinates me right now, and certainly not in a good way. He’s turned into a delusional obsessed maniac where Sami is concerned. All that crap about leaving the country with Sydney and Johnny, never allowing Sami to see her children again, was a load of bullshi*, which is all E.J. has ever been. Know what I wish the writers would do……I wish they would give Stefano back his gonads and let him take over where E.J. is concerned. Put some life back into the old boy and let him grab junior by the ear the way he (E.J.) grabbed Chad that one time. Put him in his place. Stefano and Kate together, with the help of their minions, could probably take down the Al Queda; instead he allows E.J. to speak to him as well as to his wife as if they were dirt. C’mon, Stefano, get with the program and show your ungrateful brat who’s boss. Now that I’d love to see. As for Sami, on the one hand I feel sorry for her because she is torn between the man she truly loves, being Rafe, and the father of her children who presently has control over all of their lives. But, we all know Sami…..it’s ‘what can you do for me, and how soon can you do it’. So, sniff him out, Rafe, and soon…….very soon…….drop the net on this storyline; then PLEEEEEEASE haul it away.
