To begin, I loved the show yesterday. After coming off a huge Emmy win for Outstanding Daytime Drama, it was nice to see why. The writers continued to impress me with Monday’s show. Lots of terrific interactions among actors I’m not used to seeing together.

Starting with Marlena and Adrienne —- fantastic. Did I see both points… of course I did, but that does not change the fact that Adrienne simply chose her selective memory to argue her points (how soon her ordeal with Andrew and Angelica were forgotten), and, yes, sharing her concerns with Sonny where his new life is concerned is one thing; making demands is another. She had better be careful, or she may just push herself right out the door, never to be welcomed back. Loved Marlena’s claws coming out, too. I love how she stood by Sami and Will, even though a lot of what Adrienne was saying was true. I thought their scenes were fabulous. Two momma bears protecting their babies — it was great.

Then, as if Adrienne hadn’t pushed too hard with Sonny where Will is concerned, she demands (again with the demand) that Justin remove himself from Sami, her case, reminding Sonny once again what a mistake he was making, and that Justin MUST NOT get involved. Well, I thought she took it too far, but she’s a mother, so I’ll forgive her for now. I hope she comes around, but I have a feeling this may cause big problems for Adrienne and Justin. (Hang in there, Hope –).

Good job making Sami look like she’s been in jail for quite some time, but where did she get the change of clothes. I think maybe the one who put her lights out in the jail cell is the same ‘other’ dirty cop who picked up the razor in Rafe’s room —- the CSI cop who had a couple of brief lines with Hope at the scene. Interesting that the cameras in the cell area were disabled. Someone familiar with that part of the SPD had to know how to do that. No wonder Stefano left town so suddenly. All roads probably lead back to him in time.

Kristen back to being dark, down and dirty — and knowing it will be involving a person everyone seems to love — just boggles my mind with anticipation. She is soooooo the most dangerous DiMera for anyone to worry about, including the other DiMeras. Waiting for this storyline to really get going next week. Love what I’ve been reading about it.

Finally, Brady/Nicole. Thought I was watching soft-porn for a minute there. They are scalding hot, though, and I prefer Niki with Brady so much more than Father Eric. Just happening so soon after Kristen leaves a bad taste in my mouth. People ‘come and go’ so quickly here. No time to fall in love; just ram, bam, thank you, ma’am.

Please keep it up writers — I cannot remember when I looked so forward to watching DOOL every day.

If there is trouble with Justin and Adrienne might they bring up Justin’s feeling for Hope again? And maybe mutual with Bo gone?
Second, these couples on Days seem to grieve and rage for about ten minutes then on to the next. I too find it distasteful but then this is fantasy not the real world. (or is it?)

I can buy into Nicole and Brady lusting after each other. they have been there before and it might not be considered so unusual for Brady to have “rebound” sex with a good friend ;) like Nicole, LOL. I get that more than the “grief sex” that other couples were indulging in. I think they both acknowledge what they did was purely physical and not the start of a meaningful relationship. Although I could be wrong.

They’re good friends, they’ve had a sexual relationship in the past and Nicole definitely has some pent up sexual tension. I did ff through the scenes, though. It was a little too racy for me to be comfortable.
