Why I keep watching this is beyond me. It is the same format every time, always with a couple guys in the house out for publicity and “poor” bachelorettes have no clue. As least this time Desiree listened to the house members and kicked these guys to the curb earlier.
But what gets me most is the reaction of the parents during the four home visits. Gee, after just a couple hours the parents gush over the potential suitor and give their blessing for marriage! I find their behavior actually embarrassing. and quite ridiculous.July 16, 2013 at 3:18 pm #40397PattiParticipantI would choose Brooks. Chris just is not my type, but Zach was really cute and had such sweet ways. I would rather have seen Zach stay and Drew leave, but fortunately, for her, it’s Des’ choice, not mine. LOL!
July 16, 2013 at 3:54 pm #40398caseyParticipantDrew is the nicest guy and handsome too but a bit too “wet behind the ears” I think for Desiree. I do believe she’s looking for a more mature parnter who can also offer excitement and challenge. I think she really likes Chris but I hope she doesn’t pick him. My choice would be Brooks who tends to think things out but has a sense of adventure as well. I would be shocked if it was Drew.
July 30, 2013 at 12:49 pm #40626caseyParticipantthat Brooks bowed out. It’s not like this should have been a shock to Desiree as he’d been a consistently cautious guy the entire time. I think she saw what she wanted. But I feel bad as this is the second time she lost out in the “semi-finals.”
July 30, 2013 at 2:11 pm #40629PattiParticipantI really was rooting for Brooks; however, after thinking it through, he never could tell her that he was in love with her, or even that he was falling in love with her. Seems his family saw it, but never mentioned it until he came home the second time, and that convinced him not to go through with it. I think he will miss her far more than she will miss him, if she does go on. Now, I’m hoping she does pick Drew, who may appear on the young side, but Dayummmm, he’s cute and built like a brick *hithouse, if I must say so myself. Chris, I just can’t see for Des; just something about him that’s not attractive for me. I would have to sympathize with the two left, though. If it were me, I would have second thoughts about winding up second choice.
July 30, 2013 at 4:04 pm #40630caseyParticipantif she picks another guy. Okay, you’re next in line. If you are supposedly head over heels in love with someone, you don’t just move on like that. How superficial can you get! She says if Brooks proposed she would eagerly accept, so then she’s going to accept anothe proposal? What guy would go for that?
I could maybe see her picking number two just to see where it goes, but nothing beyond that.July 31, 2013 at 2:52 am #40636PattiParticipantthat’s why I said “if she goes on.” She did say all she wants to do is go home, so she may just walk away from both Drew and Chris. The only reason I can even think she would stay is because she keeps saying she “loves” both of them as well, and may decide if she can’t be with the one she loves the most, she’ll choose the one who she believes she can love just as much. Who knows how they will all feel when this is revealed next week?
August 6, 2013 at 3:42 am #40698caseyParticipantThat Desiree was so fixated on Brooks she didn’t see the guy she loved right in front of her. Really Des?? I mean she did say if he had stayed and proposed she’d have readily accepted. What then? Would she then have realized her “mistake” and gone running to Chris?
I would still feel second best if I were Chris. He seems like a very nice solid guy but in the long run I don’t feel he’s adventurous enough for what Desiree appeared to be looking for. We will see if it lasts.August 6, 2013 at 1:42 pm #40704PattiParticipantI was disappointed in Des. I thought she might decide to go home and think about it before making that decision so closely behind what she admitted to everyone regarding how much she was in love with Brooks and would have married him practically on the spot. I felt hurt and embarrassed for both Chris and Drew, but mainly Chris, because if it were me I would always wonder in the back of my mind — did she pick me because she loved me with all of her heart, or was it because she couldn’t have Brooks and I was next in line. Too bad. I did not like this year’s show at all. I can’t help thinking that because of what happened to her last year with Shawn sending her home, that maybe she just did not want to be rejected again. I hope they can survive, but I have my doubts.
