I read a spoiler that says JJ is going to add a little something to the girls’ book club snacks. Think we will be seeing a DOOL version of Alice in Wonderland? Thought it was odd that Nicole and Jen talked about that. I wonder who will be shouting “Off with her head, Off with her head”? LOL
August 1, 2013 at 3:59 pm #40651BonbonParticipantThat’ll be SO stupid.
August 1, 2013 at 8:29 pm #40653dvalParticipantIt could be kinda funny. Especially since Julie is part of the group. Cannot wait to see her stoned…she is such a trip naturally, LOL.
August 1, 2013 at 8:29 pm #40654dvalParticipantthat was supposed to be below Bonbon’s answer!
August 2, 2013 at 1:15 pm #40661bluebonnetParticipantAndy Griffith episode in which Aunt Bea’s women’s club got drunk on "medicine" some quack/snake oil salesman was selling in town? It was hilarious! Aunt Bea was playing a lively tune on the piano and the women were singing at the top of their lungs when Andy came home and discovered what had happened.
August 2, 2013 at 2:08 pm #40664PattiParticipanthave a book club makes my eyes roll, especially Nicole as a member. Please, writers, back to reality! LOL!
August 2, 2013 at 10:40 pm #40666BonbonParticipantI’m sure she can read.
August 2, 2013 at 11:05 pm #40668PattiParticipantdoes she appear to you to be the type who would join a book club? Anyone who has ever known the real Nicole Walker would have to think twice about that. I realize they’re trying to make her into this reformed do-gooder church lady, but get real. This is so NOT Nicole to me.
August 3, 2013 at 6:13 am #40669BonbonParticipantI didn’t think there was a “type” of person who would join a book club. People of all personalities enjoy reading and discussing their thoughts on the books they read, just as we do here on what we watch.
You certainly don’t have to be a do-gooder church lady to be in a book club. Case in point…I belong to two of them. (I understand they even have book clubs in prisons.)
August 3, 2013 at 1:02 pm #40672PattiParticipantnor am I determining that you are a certain “type” of person, because I’m sure that that’s what you’re trying to do with my post. I’m just saying that knowing Nicole Walker the way that we all know Nicole Walker, it’s just not something that I believe this particular character would be interested in, nor would I believe that the other characters who will be engaging in this enlightening moment discussing some literary gem they’ve all supposedly read, would even associate with Nicole on any level whatsoever, let alone an intellectual one. So, please keep your shirt on, Bon Bon, I wasn’t knocking book clubs per se.
August 3, 2013 at 3:20 pm #40676annieoParticipantMaybe they’re just trying to make us think of the characters with a life outside of work, scheming, angst about relationships, etc. After all, there are 24 hours in a day, we have to think they do something during the time off screen. But wouldn’t it be refreshing to see a short scene of an evening with the book club members enjoying themselves together and having real refreshments (not empty coffee cups and pretend drinking). Just don’t let the Prosecutor or Anne from the hospital be a member. That would be really be taking it out of the realm of reality – if there is such a thing on soaps.
August 3, 2013 at 4:53 pm #40677BonbonParticipantknocking book clubs at all. I just couldn’t figure out why you wouldn’t think Nicole belonged to one.
August 3, 2013 at 6:09 pm #40678PattiParticipantbut it won’t be coffee …. that’s all I’ll say for now. It should be hilarious, though!
