Camilla Banus (Gabi Hernandez) did a “live” tweet yesterday afternoon and confirmed that she is leaving DOOL. Before anyone asks, she did NOT state whether she quit or was let go. She did say that she has finished taping and her final air date will be sometime in January 2014. No indication on how her exit will come about, but there is supposed to be some huge end-of-year murder mystery or who-done-it, and even the Kristen character is supposed to go out with a “bang” sometime during or near the end of February sweeps. It is also rumored that the actor (Nathan ?) who plays Cameron will be leaving. We already know Casey D. (Chad) is out. Also, it now looks like the story behind Chandler Massey’s quitting or firing may be questionable. Camilla said that she had no idea when she taped those scenes will CM, that they would be her last with him. He WAS, in fact, released from his contract 4 months early. Since Will Horton will be re-cast, I’m sure they already found a new actor to take CM’s place and decided to just let him go last Friday. Now, maybe that was so he could register and get ready for Fall classes at UCLA, I don’t know, but now I’m wondering if the Charlie Sheen statement wasn’t more fact than fiction. Wow, lots of young actors leaving. Wonder what that means.
Makes one wonder how this will play out. I hope they don’t intend to kill Gabi off. That would be too sad. Rafe losing another sister, Ariana Grace losing her mommy, I don’t think would be a good idea at all.
according to spoilers, she will be gone during or shortly after NOVEMBER sweeps (I said February). There is supposed to be some sort of catastrophe toward the end of the year (which she may or may NOT be a part of, I just don’t know).
As for Camilla Banus, she did not state how her exit was to come about, nor did she say if she was being re-cast or if that was it for Gabi Hernandez. Guess we’ll have to wait and see on that one.
