    Why on earth would the cops not check Bernardi’s kids bank account?  Why would you need a forensic accountant to figure that out?  So stupid!  It has to be less complicated than checking for all those secret Cayman offshore accounts and they did that no problem.  The kids account is right there in Salem, steps away from the Salem PD and you mean to tell me they never checked and Adrianne just happens to find out by accident?  Every one of those cops should be fired immediately.

    The writers needed a reason to NOT postpone this trial going forward so that it would blindside the prosecutor from finding out what E.J. did before Sami was set free. But, I agree — where do they come up with this stupid *hit??? Better question would be: Why????

     I know I know the plot dictates.  I love how people can be very smart and then very dumb all in the same episode!
