This WAS about Brady AND Victor succeeded in what he was trying to do – and that’s ALL Victor cares about.
When she said "you made Marlena destroy her son – you tricked her into doing it." Marlena was not forced to do ANYTHING and she made a choice to do what she did. She could have easily said to Victor – nope, not doing it. Or said I INSIST on seeing it (which she did – with little conviction.) And since Victor, at this point, thinks Eric is at fault I feel the need to side with him. I’m so glad he put Maggie in her place. Bout time she got knocked off that high horse of hers.
Obviously this is all for the plot but Marlena was not blameless here – she made a decision as did Victor and BOTH are to blame.
I agree that Marlena made a mistake in not viewing the video beforehand. She was way too eager to get Kristen out of Brady’s life and her eagerness made her stupid. Not Brady level stupid but she definitely screwed up. As for Victor, regardless of the fact that he thought Eric was a willing participant in the whole thing it was still incredibly wrong not to inform Marlena and find a way to reveal all this to Brady privately. The lame insistence that it had to be done publicly is purely to serve this weak plot.
As for Maggie, she’s finally getting a dose of the man she married! She really shouldn’t be so shocked. These two are headed down a rocky road now.
Marlena was just as intent to bring down Kristen. Party because she tricked John and almost married him, partly because she didn’t want to see Brady get into her clutches, but mostly because she hates Kristen just as much as Kristen hates her. Ironically, if Kristen had just trusted Brady she could have had it all–revenge on John and Marlena while also having Brady and the one thing she has wanted—love.
Victor felt he was right because he belived Eric to be a willing participant, in Victor’s mind Eric deserved to be outed.
What I don’t get is if Eric was poisoned, why did he seem so into the whole scene??
