I get that maybe they wanted to "age or mature" Will a bit – but this guy just isn’t sitting right with me. Chandler was very animated in his scenes and it was a real reflection of the Will character and his upbringing, what he has been through AND his characterisitics of a young gay male. This guy – not so much. He wasn’t stiff – he just wasn’t WILL. Chandler owned the role and I guess he’s just one of those people who (in my opinion) will be the character for me (same as Sami, EJ, Stefano, Hope, Marlena, Abe, Lucas.) JMO
Side note – Guy looks like a less attractive Jacob Young.
Another side note – Jen L. is VERY pretty when the camera really zooms in on her. I don’t think I realized it until today. Very beautiful porcelin skin.
the Will Horton I have grown to love and respect, but I’m willing to wait and give him the chance to grow into the role. I can’t say any disparaging remarks on any new day-player’s first appearance, but I totally thought the transition went smoothly enough to hold off on any comments yet. I’m anxious to see how Arianna Grace relates to Guy instead of Chandler, since these babies seemed to really adore CM in their scenes together. I will say this….so far, Guy and Freddie …. not so much for now, though!
over new actors once they’ve settled into the role so I will give the NuWill awhile. But he’s in a tough spot to take over for such a charismatic likable award-winner. But I agree he has to come over more as the vulnerable character that Will so endearingly was.
You mentioned that they wanted to age/mature Will. I don’t think Guy looks older or more mature.
I didn’t see a real connection with Sonny or Gabby. Also seemed strained with EJ. I guess it takes time!! And Chandler is a tough act to follow.
Will be interested in seeing interaction with Sami and Marlena ( cause Chandler was fantastic with her)
That the DOOL brass wanted to mature him up a bit. He definitely LOOKS older that’s for sure – mature remains to be seen.
