I came upon this one a few weeks ago and now I’m hooked. It’s about fledgling business owners needing funding from a panel of millionaires/billionaires to fully launch their companies. I find it very interesting how these successful “sharks” can so quickly size up the possibilities and say yey or nay. What’s ultimately the draw is the personalities of the panel and how they sling arrows among each other. Quite entertaining.

I love this show!  I started watching it last year.  What is also great about it is that even if all of the sharks decide not to invest in a company, it’s still very good advertising for the company.   Perhaps somebody who is watching the show will want to invest in the company.  I don’t know if that happens, but I bet it could.

And, since these people are already selling their product either online or in stores or both, it is great advertising for them since millions of people every week are watching this show.  What better way to get the word out there.  I’m sure after the show there are people already online looking for a particular product and that could increase sales for a particular company.  I know my sister went online to try and find this cookie dough without eggs that a woman was selling.

but what I don’t get is the sharks seem to want the business to be up and running, making a profit and a solid before they will consider investing. If that’s the case, why would they need the sharks? The only possible reason I can see is if they want to expand but in most of the cases, they need a “boost” for their business. And these guys don’t want to invest any personal time, which I can understand they probably don’t have any of. And that’s what so many of the business actually need.

And, as in all reality shows, they have to have an SOB. And Kevin (Mr. Wonderful…yeah, right!) fills that role so nicely. He is such a jerk. Mark can be sometimes to but I understand he is one in real life also.
