Where has the real Marlena gone? This is an educated woman, a psychiatrist for heaven’s sake, and she has spent the better part of the last year or so on one vendetta or another. First it was Kristen and Brady. Now it’s Eric and Nicole. Maybe she needs to see a shrink herself to find out why she can’t let her sons (step-son and son) make their own mistakes. No woman is good enough for her boys I guess. Granted she had good reason to be suspicious of both of them but doesn’t she see what will happen to her recently mended relationship with Eric if she goes down this road? Yet I haven’t seen her scheme up one little thing to “save” Sami from EJ. Oh yea, she talks a blue streak about how bad the DiMera’s are whenever she gets a chance but as far as scheming some way to reveal the “real” EJ to Sami like she is doing with Nicole to Eric, nada.
And while I’m at it, why would she even consider taking John back after the way he spoke to her the other day? Even just the way he looked at her, like he found her to be disgusting. Ugh, I didn’t think I’d ever see the day John would treat Marlena that badly, worse than how he treated her before he left town. and if things I have read are true, well, then this once loving, mature, stable relationship is doomed, I am guessing. We don’t have one really happy couple on this show, EVER. What is wrong with these writers? Stalkers x2 (Jen’s stalker and Mr. Super Nut Case himself Nick), Sami and EJ appear comfortable and stable but well, maybe we can call that relationship stalker #3 actually, since Abigail has been intent on following him around no matter what. Well Nick and Sonny are happy but heaven knows what’s gonna happen there. Hope is in limbo with Bo. Then we have the super losers joining forces, namely Brady and Theresa. OK Maggie and Victor seem to be back on track right now. Oh yeah, Rafe and Jordan are at the start of I love you, I’m leaving you land. Bah is there really one good reason to watch this show anymore?
Sorry about the rant, just been finding recently that the one hour of viewing that used to go quickly seems more like 2 or 3 hours cuz it is so depressing and boring.has treated Sami. She really does act like she favors Eric, Brady, and John over Sami. She acts like she thinks she is the best mother in town, though she has always put those men, especially John, ahead of Sami. Of all people, she should provide Sami with some extra care and love since Sami witnessed her mother cheating on her father. Never have been a Marlena fan, as you can tell!
Marlena and John have tanked since they both returned way back when. Does Days really believe this fractured couple has been in the least interesting? What is the point of continuing to portray this longtime super duo as unlikeable, tiresome characters?
Days is on a kick for snarky busybodies and has forgotten their audience or simply what constitutes entertainment. Please put Doc back in the shrink chair where maybe she could be in danger (or at least useful) and John the charismatic hero of yore. I’d love to see a return to the loving playful pair we once knew. Otherwise, I simply cannot care about them which is really sad.she is in “doc” mode; otherwise, she is written completely out of character. I simply cannot fathom why these writers can’t write for the DH’s. For me they are the epitome of a “super-couple” but one would never know it from the way they have been writing John and Marlena. I find it disturbing that these writers simply refuse to write storylines that are character driven rather than plot driven. It’s sad that soaps tend to disrupt character histories this way. Oh, well, just adding them to my list of disappointing but loving characters this show seems intent on destroying in my eyes. Ugh!
Why on earth would Marlena be more concerned about Nicole than EJ? I guess she just loves Eric more than Sami. Either that or she figures it’s a waste of time to talk to Sami since she never listens anyway. Marlena has been acting just as stupid as Brady lately. Asking Stefano for help and nosing around Nicole. Basically since John left she has just been a waste of space. Now he’s back and treating her like crap again. Wake up Doc!
