Am I the only one who thinks that the writers might be slowly but surely returning them back to their first true loves (that is, each other)? I mean, can’t you just see it? I figure Philip will realize more and more that his wife, Melanie, truly is in love with Nathan, and – as Chloe is starting to lose hope on her relationship with Daniel – those will, accidentally, fall back in love with each other…WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE WITH ME, SINCE I’VE ALWAYS WANTED THESE TWO TOGETHER! (SUCH A HOT COUPLE!)
What do you all think?
March 31, 2010 at 10:38 am #11643June66watcherParticipantNo, you’re not the only one…. IF Phil & Chloe find themselves drawn to each other and live in their own respective residences (not the mansion), then I’d be happy with the storyline. It’s a romantic notion that touches your heart when two (first-loves) find each other again. Of course, these two wouldn’t actually be finding each other, but they do know each other to a level others can’t.
March 31, 2010 at 12:08 pm #11650ChelluvParticipantyes! always been a fan of the couple
March 31, 2010 at 12:28 pm #11651mbwParticipantI can see it too. They’re in a lot of scenes together. And while the characters need someone to talk to, so that they’re not always talking to themselves and looking like they’ve lost their minds, I think it’s intentional that Philip is her "ear."
March 31, 2010 at 1:04 pm #11653caseyParticipantI came here to post the same thing. Yep, Phil will see Mel is not for him and Chloe IMO was never the one for Dan. That was a super lust attraction and once trouble set in, notice how we haven’t seen any more of those can’t keep hands off each other scenes.
“Ghoul Girl” Chloe started off as an outsider, very “booky” with a sharp literary tongue which I loved and was all too brief. She turned into something quite superficial and empty. Maybe a slower developing re-relationship with Phil is just the ticket here for some interesting viewing.March 31, 2010 at 2:00 pm #11658PattiParticipantand I, for one, don’t particularly like it, but don’t really care either. Phillip and Melanie are destined for destruction. I like Chloe with Dan. I hope she is strong enough to deal with Daniel being Mel’s father and can allow them the space they need to bond, especially since it will be so obviously painful for her now that she knows she will never be able to give him his own biological child. She has to make sure that she stays strong and doesn’t allow Carly Manning to interfere in her life with Daniel. But, the way she keeps "running into" Philip and pouring her heart out to him is certainly an indication of who she will run to if they do decide to end her and Daniel. And Phillip, poor guy, will get more love and compassion from a lamppost than he will from Melanie, at any stage of their marriage.
March 31, 2010 at 4:02 pm #11665DCola522ParticipantI really like Chloe & Daniel, and I don’t want to see her cheat on yet ANOTHER man!!! If they want to put her back with Philip then please, oh please, let her do the right thing for once and end her current relationship first! If she doesn’t, then Daniel will be the THIRD guy she cheats on! She was still married to Brady when she first returned and started hooking up with Philip. I’ve always liked Chloe but if they continue to write her as a cheater, then she’ll lose me!
March 31, 2010 at 5:27 pm #1166653tdogsParticipantchopped meat? He got cheated on big time by Chole too! I agree – quit making her a cheater…it’s like the writer’s can’t see her doing anything else. Keep her with Daniel.
March 31, 2010 at 7:23 pm #11672GoodyParticipantwith Melanie; he is loving and gentle. Melanie did not demand that he change anything about himself, but he willingly became a better, more loving person with her. I hope Melanie has sense enough to see just how much he cares. So far, the writers have not given them much time together since their marriage.

April 1, 2010 at 2:33 pm #11696jewelgalParticipantChloe is SUCH a bad actress…..but Philip DOES bring out something in her. She seems a little more genuine or believable when she’s paired with him. If she’s staying on the show, I’d like to see her take a few acting classes and if she improves I guess I don’t care who she stays with.
April 2, 2010 at 12:09 am #11703BonoSugaRayParticipantThe actress who plays the Chloe character is amazing at her craft! I think the writers of the show summon for such a character, and Nadia pulls it off greatly!
April 2, 2010 at 11:53 am #11704luckeyParticipantthe fact that she doesn’t go into a screeching meltdown like Sami or Melanie when she gets upset. All in all, I think she does a very good job. Even when she was "ghoul girl" and the character was a bit on the weird side, I think she did a very good job of acting.
April 2, 2010 at 12:14 pm #11705PattiParticipantso she gets an A+ in that department; but, sometimes she delivers her lines as if she were in a trance. No, I don’t care for the weeping, screaming, facial distortions we see in Molly (Melanie) every time she is on screen, and Sami runs hot and cold, but Ali Sweeney would be the only one who could pull the two transitions off so well. Alison is the one who is great at her craft, IMO. She is the one true actress in that she can make me love/hate/praise/condemn her at, all at the same time. At least for me she does. There are days when I absolutely despise Sami, and then I turn around the following week and find myself praising her. That’s not being fickle on my part; that’s terrific acting on Ali’s. However, Nadia can be a snooze-fest in her line delivery and blank stares at times. I thought for a while she was improving and showing some signs of life; but, alas, she’s back to being an insecure meltdown once again, which is when Nadia’s acting is at its worse, IMO. Too bad, cause she is a natural beauty and should have everyone in love with her. Unfortunately, NOT!
April 2, 2010 at 12:46 pm #11710SWParticipantCheck out her album on iTunes with her brothers.
April 2, 2010 at 12:54 pm #11711caseyParticipantget out of this hanging around funk she’s in, and instead of having a self-pity party, take some action and form an opera company in Salem. I’m SOoo tired of plots focusing on bad, revolving door relationships.
You know Days, there’s more to life out there! -
