“Rumors have been flying around that with all of the exits of current actors, that Days of Our Lives is working on bringing some old favorites back. The rumor is that the show is working on bringing back Lisa Rinna (Billy) and Peter Reckell (Bo). One can only hope that they have not been off screen together.
Peter Reckell fans still hold on to hope that he may return and according to him it is a possibility. Reckell has no intention of returning long term, but is open to returning to allow fans some closure. In a series of tweets Reckell shared to his fans, “Going back to Days, I don’t think that will ever happen as a long term commitment. Going back to close out Bo’s story in a respectful way??? I would do that for you. You deserve better then what they have done to Bo. You have been very faithful and dedicated for years, decades! Not sure what kind of story line could happen, I haven’t watched the show. You would have better ideas. The timing for his return would be great with Hope finally finding herself attracted to another man. Who can blame her with her husband being MIA for so long? If Reckell no longer wants to play Bo long-term, it would be nice for him to return to set Hope free. Although I love Bo and Hope, I am intrigued by the budding attraction of Hope and Aidan. When he left Days of Our Lives, he was vocal about not being happy with his storyline. Perhaps if the writing team could find stories that intrigue him, he would stay. Do you think it is time or Hope to move on or for Bo to come back?
While Rinna and Reckell are rumored to return to NBC, Rinna is returning to television on Bravo. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will return next season with a new cast member. Lisa Rinna (Billy) according to E! is joining the cast. She is to replace Joyce Giraud, who was fired from the reality hit TV show. Are you interested in watching the show?

since Kristian already posted that the problem has already been solved (regarding Bo’s long disappearance), and already filmed. Don’t know what to think about above. Maybe Peter is just trolling for fans to write to TPTB to bring him back and they haven’s done so yet. So, I have mixed feelings about this SoapHub article.
Since he’s already said he won’t come back long term, I say don’t come back at all. Why tease fans by showing up for a few episodes and then leaving again. What purpose does that serve? Better he stay off the show and they allow for closure off screen. Unless they can convince him to come back long term with a great storyline, I don’t see the point of a short-term commitment.
Peter R. writes "you deserve better than what they have done to Bo." Um, they didn’t do that to Bo, you did, when you decided to leave the show but left things up in the air. What were they supposed to do? It’s about time to just end this nonsense now.
two years is out of sight, out of mind for me. I didn’t particularly like Bo and Hope together since before the Carly return. They never regained the early spark for me.
I’m now interested in a Hope/Aiden pairing.

Also don’t think that Lisa is available and don’t really care if BO returns!
