out behind the barn and SHOOT HIM!!! This guy is so smarmy and annoying I just want to barf every time he’s on screen. And if they don’t spit out what he did to Jordan pretty soon, he is going to be relegated to the FF pile.

And I can’t believe big ol’ bad corporate executive and whiz kid, Kate, would take that crap from him. Come on, he’s just a dumb hick from Possum Holler (or wherever in the heck he’s from) for cripes sake. Call one of Stefano’s “associates” and have them pull the trigger. Annoyance solved.

I really could care less about what he did to Jordan and Ben anymore but I like him. And she kind of has to take that crap from him or else he will tell Jordan and Ben that she is the reason he found them and then Rafe will be finished with her, too. And that is the last thing her poor smitten little heart wants.

about him being some dumb back-woods hick; I’m thinking Clyde is a very bad, very dangerous man who had control of a very dangerous business back in Poplar Bluff, and he’s now decided to bring that business to Salem, and that would be the drug business. We have already had an inkling of E.J. taking over that business once again from Victor, and I’m suspecting a big storyline to open soon in that regard. As for Jordan, my belief is that he did a hell of a lot more to her than what we’ve been led to believe. The young woman is petrified of even being on the same planet with this man. I think Clyde sexually abused this girl (this is my opinion, not a spoiler). Also, as far as Kate, it’s about time she got knocked off her pedestal a bit, don’t you think? I do!! I love the way Clyde stopped her in her tracks when he suggested going to Rafe and letting him know just exactly who came where seeking whom, all which ended in bringing Caleb to Salem. We’ll see, but I think as creepy as this guy is, he is going to wind up being a very successful villain on DOOL.

I agree, Patti. I velieve that he has been abusive to Jordan and that is why she fled with Ben.

I also feel that he is a big drug pin and plans on taking over the trade in Salem.  I think he is very smart and just plays the "country bumpkin" to fool others. Kate has inadvertently brought a whole lot of trouble to Salem.

I also feel that he is the head thug that Ej is willing to get in business with and that EJ might have got in over his heard.

drug kingpin he could have been in that small town.  If that’s where they are going with this, I see a whole lot of holes looming.

Have you ever watched "Justified"?  Many back water towns in the south are loaded with drug dealers that make a substantial amount of money and stay under the radar.  They run vast enterprises and are a lot more powerful than most people realize.

Just because he comes from a small town doesn’t mean he is not powerful or well established.

Jordan was sexually abused by Clyde. Although it didn’t affect her intimacy with Rafe. Sometimes she seems afraid, other times she acts like her stepdad is more of an annoyance. I do favor anyone who can can get the better of Kate, though I do admit Clyde is certainly smarmy and JR is playing him nicely without going over the top.

I’m not familiar with any small town drug dealers. No big town one either.

I don’t think he sexually abused Jordan – if so, I think we would have seen that in her intimacy with Rafe (ala Billie back in the day.)

I am so NOT interested in a General Hospital style storyline with a drug kingpin!!!  Zzzzz….   He’s amazing as Clyde but I am so far from invested in Jordan that I almost rather he be his own independent character separate from her and Ben.

Seriously DOOL – what the hell are you writers doing?!? This show is so boring it’s barely watcable these days.

but that’s fine. I wouldn’t want to think we were twins separated at birth or something along those lines (age excluded, of course); and it took Jordan quite a while to warm up to Rafe enough to take a damn walk outside of the hospital together, still miles from going to bed with him, until she finally believed she was safe and that Clyde was never going to find her and Ken…I mean Ben. But you’re right about her casting the shadow of boredom everywhere she turns right now, along with her brother (or is he really her brother, or is he her son with dear ole’ dad??? (Just my crazy speculations running away with my mind again).

I just assumed Ben was Jordon’s half brother. Don’t know why.

Is the actor playing Clyde recurring or on contract

Ben is supposed to be Clyde’s biological child with Jordan’s mother, who died. Jordan was very young (probably a teen) when Ben was born. After their mother died, Jordan stole money from Clyde, took Ben and ran away with him (I think Ben was about 5). Appears she raised Ben until he was old enough to fend for himself, then left him on his own, changed her identity (the licenses) and has been on the run until Ben found her in Salem. That’s all we know of their back-story so far. I’m also wondering if Clyde killed Jordan’s mother because she caught him sexually abusing Jordan. I think Clyde’s a big-time meth-dealer and that’s why they revealed the part where he gave Jeremiah a wad of cash to take to the person back in Poplar Bluff who was severely burned. I think this is why he keeps referring to both Ben and Jordan as “his kids.” Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how the rest of their back-story fills us in.
