what we found out was only the tip of the iceberg. There’s going to be way more to Aiden’s story than what we heard yesterday. That being the case, I really do like them as a couple, and I love the friendship between Hope and Rafe; always have. However, in the love department, it’s Hope and Aiden for me. I just hope we don’t have too much angst once other things regarding Aiden’s past begin to reveal itself, including the ‘so-called’ suicide of his wife (which I still don’t quite believe happened the way he explained it to Hope); but, we shall see.
I felt that Aiden seemed guarded when telling his story, like he was carefully choosing what details he gave her.
on other boards I lurk on indicating the possibility that Chase shot his mother and Aiden was protecting his son. The only reason I can even begin to suspect that is if the boy’s memory has simply blocked it out completely, because he has not shown signs of anything but love for his mother. The thing bothering most posters with Aiden’s storyline is how can a child sleep through the loud arguments and then a gunshot. I may be wrong but didn’t Aiden say that someone came and woke Chase and took him out so he would not see his mother’s body??? Just something some are speculating, but it would make a great storyline, I will admit.
I guess we should call them Hopen because it seems like we are all hopin’ they get together.
I’m hopin’ it doesn’t turn out Chase was peeking around the corner and saw the whole thing. He’d be the next one on Marlena’s couch. I don’t recall Aiden saying how old Chase was when it happened.
it was either his sister or sister-in-law came over and took Chase so he wouldn’t see the body. That would be an interest turn of events if it was actually him that shot her. Lots of PTSD potential.
