– How is Paul donating blood? Openly gay men cannot donate blood (at least I thought they still couldn’t.) If I’m wrong then I’m gonna start donating blood.
– I liked Marlena’s convo with Paul today… very authentic.

– Will and Sonny were watchable today. FINALLY!!!

– You know the real problem with this Theresa/Melanie/Brady storyline? We are not invested. When Sami tried to steal Austin from Carrie (and used Will to do so) we were INVESTED!!! Carrie n Austin were together for a bit. He saw her thru the scarring of her face (by the acid.) We were INVESTED in Sami as a misguided teen who watched her Mom commit adultery. Then by time that story played out we were INVESTED in all three of them. You rooted for Sami b/c you loved her OR you rooted for her to be taken down b/c you LOVED to HATE her. You didn’t just HATE her. We all HATE Theresa. We don’t revel in her deliciously evil ways – we just don’t want to see her. Brady is a goof – much like Austin. But Melanie is not a heroine (the way Carrie was portrayed during that story.) Molly is QUITE annoying this time around.
This is just bad storytelling. I’ve said it before – James R. told stories well. Whether you liked em or not he got a lot of people involved…. he made you invested…. the payoff was always HUGE!!! This is just BLEH!!!
Oh – and can we recast Parker please?!? That kid barely talks and looks like he’s waiting for cues from his Mom offstage. We’ve had WAY better kid actors on here.
There is no chemistry between Melanie and Brady. They are like two slices of white bread with nothing in between. I never bought into their relationship. As for Theresa, I wish she’d go away with Ann for good. I dislike them both!
I heard they are looking at dropping that barrier to gay men donating blood but don’t know if it’s passed yet. I guess we’re supposed to overlook it.
I too enjoyed Will and Sonny because Will expressed his fears without going beserk. (doubt that will last!)
At least I’m getting some kind of reasoning from JJ about his acting out the unworthiness thing with Paige. I still believe they will reunite. Jen better watch her back with Eve.
As for Parker he annoys me with the constant laughter and silent routine. He’s not a toddler!You can donate if you haven’t had sex with another man in more than a year. How they could possibly know that…? I guess they depend on one’s honesty.

So basically I can’t donate b/c I’m gay and I have sex with men. Talk about double talk huh?
I’ve been banned because of sins in the early 80s. I told them they should test the heck out of my blood because I rarely even get a cold much less anything worse.
It’s BS to ban gay men yet they will take the blood of straight people who go out and party and screw around with multiple people.
Or uncle and niece. He just seems too old for her. (And my dad and stepmom as well as mom and stepdad were about 15 years apart in age.)
A gay man who has sex with another man can’t donate yet there is no restriction for a woman who has had sex with a gay man? Huh?
I feel bad because I can no longer donate because of my chronic anemia. I did it once before I knew better and when I saw my hematologist he hit the roof because my iron count was in the basement. He said, “That blood belongs to me and you don’t go giving it away to anybody!!!” :o) But at least in my younger life I hit the two gallon mark. I’m pretty proud of that.
