I can’t see RSW playing Alex Kiriakis. The reason being is because of this. With Aniston’s health the way it is, with how Kurth’s Justin is always M.I.A & that Tnker’s Sonny is always M.I.A., because Sonny was never seen until he & Will be there for Chad, given what happened to Abby. Can you really see a long missing Kiriakis showing up to a non-existent family?
Whether you can see it or not, it’s happening. RSW is under contract and TPTB didn’t want to have Ben without Ciera, so they’re bringing him back as a Kiriakis. On a positive note, all of those who still continue to hate Ben for his stint as the necktie killer, will get to see him as someone who’s not evil. He may grow a whole new fan base.
What I’m getting at is this: With how Justin never being seen unless he sees a client needing a lawyer at the station & with how we never see Sonny, given how long he wasn’t seen until they had him & Will to go see Chad, & with Aniston’s failing health, why would a long lost Kiriakis show up to no family ?
I understand that RSW is on contract, but there being a need to have Ben leave with Ciara & with Archey & Stowers had left when there was no need for them to go, given that Lani had no reason to fear for Vivian, because there’s no need for Dano much less Sorel & with how long she hasn’t been seen, they think that she still possesses a threat to Lani?
The reason for this reply is that with RSW playing a Kiriakis, they may end putting in effect that Alex Kiriakis & Ben are twin brothers, the same way they have Jake & Stefan being twins, because Jake is so willing to go down the same road that his brother did, when he’s trying to get out of his brother’s shadow, now isn’t he?
The reason Lani and Eli left was because they wanted to leave. I believe Lamon has another show going right now, which is why he was in a coma for a month. I also heard Sal was ready to leave and spread her wings. I think the quickest thing to do was write them both off. I think they will be re-cast in the future so the characters of Lani and Eli are not gone for good.
As for RSW playing a Kiriakis, I doubt there are any plans to write the Kiriakis’s off forever. Justin is not on contract because he’s also on GH. Bonnie is still around so I’m sure we’ll see more of Justin in the future. Don’t forget, Xander is still a Kiriakis. There’s always the possibility that he comes back to the fold.
But remember Christopher Sean, he still did both Days & Hawaii 5-0, didn’t he?
What makes Lamon think the show he’s on now won’t kill off his character & then recast it with a minority actor, that’s what Queen Sugar did when they killed off Vaughan’s character & recasted with an ethnic actor, didn’t they?
I get that Kurth is not on contract, but Bonnie is seldom seen, she has the name just because she married into the name, Xander may be a Kiriakis, but all we are seeing has nothing to do with the family. The same with Sonny, the only time he was seen was when he was rendered unconscious & stripped & when he & Will comforted Chad when it came to Abigail, after that, he’s no longer seen, now was he? I get that Kurth is with GH & with Days & that he doesn’t have a contract with Days but why not a pinch-hit actor for the character to know of his niece’s death?
