Guess Salem is 200 years old on 11/9/2015 – since 11/8 is a Sunday?!

Good nod to the show’s birthday – very cute.

isn’t a bicentennial 50 years???  Or did I miss your point and I’m just having a slow day!!  LOL!

The USA celebrated its bicentennial in 1976 (1776–1976).

    Salem is 200. Bi meaning 2 and centennial meaning 100 years. 2 x 100 = 200.

was a great day of parading and picnics and fireworks – I jammed them all in and had a blast.

No a bicentennial is 200 years. The show is "celebrating" the founding of Salem, 200 years ago. Guess it is their way of doing the 50th for the show.

A bicentennial is 200 years.  I’m assuming that is how the show is tipping its hat to DOOL’s real 50 year anniversary.  I dunno why they picked a bicentennial – but I guess they couldn’t say Salem was 50 years old since the show started with the Horton’s already in place.

I knew a centennial was 100 years, so I took the Bi-Centennial to mean half of that.  Duh, Patti!

a Semisentenniel. Also used, although a less recognized word, is Quinquagenary. I learned that when our church had its 50th anniversary. Some of the people wanted to call it a Semisentenniel and others a Quinquagenary. The Semisentenniel won out.

I give you credit for even being able to spell those words Bon ;)  I got tired just reading them haha.
