So Eric is mad at Nicole, as he should be, because she visited Jada to preach all the hardships of single motherhood without saying a word about the positives. Then Jada has an abortion. However, after reflecting on what Eric said to Jada, and didn’t say to Jada, before the abortion I believe Eric was just as much at fault for Jada’s decision. He kept saying your body your choice and I really want a child. But he didn’t forcefully say I want this baby, I will raise it myself if you don’t want to, I hope you decide to have it. I think Jada didn’t talk to Eric after the Nicole visit and before ending the pregnancy because she didn’t think Eric would mind if she had an abortion.
Eric needs to reflect on his behavior and take partial responsibility for Jada’s actions.
It’s very much like when Eric went off to Africa right after he and Nicole got married. A short trip turned into a year. He left his new wife and step daughter at home without a second thought. Of course, Nicole being Nicole sleeps with Xander. Eric finds out and blames it all on her. Finally after time passes, he acknowledges his responsibility in the fiasco.
Eric and Nicole deserve each other. They both make poor decisions over and over.
