The only problem that I have with Chanel, & Talia is that what went down in college, were those characters there, given the characters weren’t even in existence then, now were they, so where’s the story that would have Talia to take it out on Chanel?
This is pertains to the adage: putting the cart before the horse. yes, Paulina’s office was just recently trashed when Talia showed up, but remember, she never knew what went down with Chanel & Sloan, she had to be told about it, so explain how she knew of it, trash the office & then hear of what Chanel had relayed to her?
Just like with Jada. When she showed up, Kayla & Steve had brought up that they were saddened over the loss of Marcus Hunter, the writers waited 19 years after RB’s death for Kayla & Steve to express their mourning to his daughter, when there was no story at all as to how they knew that he had a daughter, much less 2 for that matter.

Spoilers say that Talia has a secret person she is working with (or for) to do the biscuit drugging as well as the other incidents against Paulina and Chanel. We’re supposed to learn something about her backstory and why she’s doing this in the next two weeks or so. Is it a setup to point the finger at Sloan and/or hurt Paulina and Chanel?
Who is she working with? A new character or someone we already know? I wonder if she’s not working with EJ though I have no idea what his motive would be. Also, today Jada said the lab analyzed the biscuits and they weren’t familiar with the drug, or something like that. Well drugs points to the DiMeras or Dr Rolf. Of course, Jada is a doctor so she may have access to drugs also. Alot to think about. I’m ready for it to play out.

April 20, 2023 at 7:42 am #59477zodiacpisces1971ParticipantJana Arnold existed in Genoa City before Gwen Rizcech.
Sondra Clark & Mary Reynolds were on 227 when McCoo played Tamara.
Jana & Kevin had a relationship on Y&R before they played Gwen & Leo.
Dixie Cooney died to poisoned peanut butter pancakes on AMC.You tell me should all of that be focal points on a soao opera
that are not AMC much less Y&R?Like the Beyond Salem crap that we are seeing, with people who has no knowledge as to how they had seen those episodes, should that content be on this series?
April 20, 2023 at 8:36 am #59478mommytutuParticipantIt’s a soap opera, everyone new comes to town with a past we’re not aware of until their story unfolds. I personally think that maybe Sloan’s mother isn’t dead, or Sloan’s brother, who we haven’t seen yet, is the one egging in Talia on. Remember she was in a relationship that supposedly went bust before she came to Salem. Perhaps she’s still in that relationship and the person she is with is Sloan’s brother. They are working together to destroy Chanel and Paulina. Another possibility is that Talia is trying to ruin Sloan and these crimes are being committed to frame her.
April 20, 2023 at 2:54 pm #59479zodiacpisces1971ParticipantBut what I’m getting at is that all the new characters that come on with back histories negates the characters the actors had played when, doesn’t it?
Like, Gwen for instance, I get that Gwen had no clue that her family never even heard of her, so I understand as to why that story was needed, but remember when in flashback when EO’B played Tiffany & she went into her spiel about her daughter, it gave the illusion that Young & The Restless never had Jana has one of their characters, right?
April 20, 2023 at 6:30 pm #59483doolfanParticipantI don’t watch Y&R. What does it have to do with Days?
April 21, 2023 at 7:23 am #59485zodiacpisces1971ParticipantEmily O’Brien played Jana Arnold on Y&R & she had a romance with Kevin Fisher. Jana & Kevin are now Gwen & Leo on this show. So what I’m getting at is that O’Brien’s Jana came first before O’Brien’s Tiffany had brought up her daughter Gwen, so you tell me how the cart is put there before the horse?
Meaning, that they are denying the past characters that these actors have played, by giving the illusion that their Days’ characters preceded their other roles, don’t you think that needs to stop?
April 21, 2023 at 8:15 am #59486mommytutuParticipantIt’s a soap opera. It’s fiction. One show is on CBS, one on NBC/Peacock. Actors play other characters all the time. Let’s be honest, even if Gwen and Leo were a couple on another show it has no bearing on this show. From what you’re saying Leo was straight on YR and he’s gay on Days, and in real life. They are actors, they are pretending to be characters. It doesn’t matter who they were on another show. Heck, Roman was Chris Kozichek on the same show. It’s called acting.
April 21, 2023 at 3:31 pm #59489zodiacpisces1971ParticipantIt does matter as to who they were on other shows, when they are giving the illusion that other characters they play were in existence before the said actor played others where.
Like Gwen, for instance, when Emily O’Brien’s Tiffany brought up her 8 year old daughter, showing the character of Gwen came before Y&R’s Jana. That’s what I’m getting at.
Like for instance, Josh Kelly who plays Cody on General Hospital. They gave the illusion that Cody existed before the actor played Cutter on OLTL.
Tawney Ferres Ellis played a character by the name of Dominique Taub on General Hospital, she appeared 30 years ago, before the actor Josh Kelly was in the Iraq War. I know what you are saying that these characters are fictional, I get that they are, but you don’t have characters in existence before the actors played others where, don’t you think?
April 23, 2023 at 7:06 am #59502doolfanParticipantThe only soap I watch is Days. I’m not aware of the characters the Days actors played in other soaps. It’s not necessary information needed to enjoy Days. It also doesn’t impact the storylines on Days and the backstories of the new characters. Each soap is a standalone, fictional story with actors playing parts.
April 23, 2023 at 3:18 pm #59509zodiacpisces1971ParticipantIt does impact stories on Days, by not putting the characters where the events took place, given as to when the characters show up, would be very difficult to place the characters in that time frame, given the time frame of those events, were the characters created then? I know that you don’t know about Josh Kelly or the character of Cody, or the character of Cutter Wentworth, what I’m getting at is that when the actor was that young, did the character exist then? Just like Gwen, when Tiffany came on to let Laura know about Gwen, the character brought up the age of her daughter, but was the character of Gwen created then?
