I for one am so sick of teens blaming their parents for all their troubles. BooHoo youdad was away, poor little me my daddy was away. What about all the teens who had no choice, their dads were sent to war, had too travel for business so there is food on the table?

These pooer kids went bad but it is not their fault, it is daddy’s and moomy’s!!! Ehrn eill they get that they need to be part of the solution not giving their parents grief and guilt trips!!

    THey need to grow up!

and even further back, kids were largely raised by the moms. Fathers were the main breadwinners and came home late and/or often worked shifts where they sometimes had to sleep in the daytime.
Kids are so “golden” in today’s society that heaven fordbid they experience the least discomfort or any need is not met or if they are blamed for their own bad behavior.

I could really get on my soap box on that topic. There isn’t enough room here to be able to voice my opinion. What really baffles me is how our kids, these now-parents, ever became these “my-precious-little-babies” parents. We certainly didn’t raise them with that attitude. It kind of scares me as to what this world is going to become when they take over.

What an entitled group.  I have never seen a more whiny bunch.  I don’t understand how they were raised to be so lazy with no work ethic or empathy for others.  I know they aren’t all like that but many that I have encountered are and it is extremely disheartening.  A little discipline and hard work would have gone a long way with these kids.  That overly permissive helicopter parenting does them a grave disservice.

Stepping off my soap box and backing away slowly.
