I get that Archey & Stowers doesn’t want to stay with this show. I get that, why not have Keshia Pulliam, Brandy Norwood, or Cathy Jeneen Doe to be in the running to play Lani Carver Price Grant & have either Lance Gross, Larenz Tate, or Damon Wayans Jr. to be in the running for the character of Eli Grant. Or could it be that that with any one of the performers I have mentioned don’t want to be in the position in which it comes down to that with them not being Archey & Stowers that with them being in the roles of Eli & Lani might get killed off because they aren’t the original actors & if that’s the case, then why recast Gabi with anyone? So what’s the point in recasting Gabi Hernandez soon-to-DeMira, yet again?
I think the difference is a lack of storyline for Lani and Eli. Unlike Gabi, who has a lot of storyline left, especially with Stefan and Vivian’s return, Eli and Lani are kind of just there. Lani will no longer be able to be a cop so would we really want to watch her raise twins while they figure out something for her?
Are you living under a rock, in bringing up Stefan’s return, the second time Stefan returned was when Ava thought that he was Jake & he’s been there since then. There is more of a storyline involving Eli & Lani, Eli could easily have his FBI contact, the one that was his best man when Eli married Lani, The FBI contact that Eli has could easily have Lani’s sentence revoked given that it was her actions that let everyone to learn that Abe was amongst the living, isn’t that grounds to have the prison sentence vacated, especially given that all the rest of Salem’s Miscreants were given a pardon? Also, how much of a storyline that Gabi has given that since the upcoming week is August, which means that she’s only there for two more months.
First, you don’t have to be rude. I meant with Stefan still in Salem and Vivian’s return. I think if you had re-read that, you’d understand what I meant.
Sorry for being rude, but what I’m about to bring up is what threw me off a little & that is this: “Unlike Gabi who has a lot of storyline left, especially with Stefan’s & Vivian’s return” with that verbiage let me to believe that Stefan was coming back with Vivian. Then with Lani’s actions led to Abe being alive for this long, there’s no pardon for her at all????WTF
Two things make me think she’ll be back in the future. First, Eli said she’d be eligible for parole around New Years. Second, Lani told Abe she didn’t know when she would see him again, but she hoped it would be soon and she reiterated that she’d be back. So hopefully that is in the works, without a re-cast.
