Getting History Right

Ava may have caused the plane to crash. But no one forced Shawn to come. It was Shawn who gave up his oxygen mask to give to his adopted son, Bo. Why is Ava forgetting that? Plus, with Harris not knowing her history with Marlena, did he have to know what went down when, given that Harris wasn’t there then, so why should it matter to him to know of it? I get that he needed to know as to why Marlena feels the way she does when it comes to Ava, but still, she treated Ben Weston, even though everyone thought that he had killed her grandson, but she still did it, so is she in any position to turn down whoever it is that maybe her patient or not, given that she is a mental doctor?
