This may have already been discussed, so forgive me if I’m repeating: how are TPTB going to explain the time jump. One week we have little children who need supervision, and the next week we have snarly teenagers who think adults should stay out of their way (at least that sounds like the kind of teens we are going to get!). Are they going to suggest several years have passed, or are we expected to assume they grew up gradually like normal children? I admit that moving their ages right along will help down the line when we see E.J. return as an adult (this is not a spoiler, just my guess). What do you hear, or think about the transition and how it will be handled?

to write a transition sl, since Ciara, Chase and Theo all show up this month, and we just saw 10-year old Ciara and Chase yesterday.  Joey is already here, and I don’t even think about him as a toddler since we hardly ever saw him as one.  And Claire doesn’t arrive until November.  So, I think they’ll just show up, on-screen, later this month with the announcer saying, "the role of Ciara Brady (insert other names) is now being played by (insert new actor’s name)….and that will be that.  They did this with several actors on Y&R where you watched one week and the actor was a child, and the next week they were late teens.  After a few weeks or getting used to it, they are simply forgotten about.  Except for me, the character of E.J. DiMera will never be able to be explained.  He went from a toddler to a thirty-something….same with Brady Black.  That’s a little too much SORASing AFAIC!

I remember well that John and Marlena left on their honeymoon with Belle and Brady being little. When they returned, Marlena remarked something like, "My you have grown so much while we were gone" looking at late teen kids!!

things than that. How many people have come back from the dead after being shot, poisoned, blown up, burned alive and whatever else they could conjugate up? Or how about a total body transplant, ala Philip. When he came back he not only had a new face but he was several inches taller and had grown a new leg. Now THAT is hard to believe. Aging a couple of kids is nothing.

You are right Bonbon, over the many years I’ve watched Days I have accepted things that would turn my head completely around in the real world. One of my favorites is when they took the actor who played the bartender and in a short time made him into Roman who we know today. I’ve never really adjusted to that sudden change.

Every time I see Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) on screen, I say to myself, "Why is Chris Kositchek pretending to be Roman Brady, and why doesn’t anyone recognize him?"  Josh (real life age 72) played the role of Kositchek from 1977-87, and there are a few current cast members who were on the show back then.  By the way, Kositchek went from being a bartender to a lawyer on the show.  Josh began playing Roman in 1997.

Brady Black was seven years old when John and Marlena left on their 1999 honeymoon.  When the character was re-introduced in 2000, he was a college dropout, played by 20-year old Kyle Lowder through 2005.  Brady Black returned in 2008, this time portrayed by Eric Martsolf, age 37 at the time.  I sure hope they don’t SORAS Brady any more.

     He has certainly aged well.

of all the older cast members. I am surprised at many of their ages. Maybe I should apply for a job on Days. :o)

He has played Roman longer than Wayne did – so for me, he’s Roman.
