First of all, I found it kind of strange that every sum of money mentioned in the last couple of days has been $100,000. That was the amount of the check Hope wrote out for Daniel, it was the amount the derelict wanted from Chad (both, if that wasn’t a worthless SL unless there is more down the line), and now it’s the amount of the reward Eduardo is offering.

On that note, where in the heck does an FBI employee get that kind of money? Was he dirty? And, I’m finding A’s acting to be very wooden and not at all what I would expect of such a seasoned actor who has been around so long and appearing in so many places. He just seems to stand there with a blank expression with no emotion whatsoever. Maybe it’s that horrible goatee and haircut but I’m just not seeing anything from him. If I didn’t know about his background, I’d say he must have just finished acting school and only passed with a D. I sure hope things get better in that department. Anybody else see what I’m talking about?

Something else that doesn’t sit right with me is that he was such a terrible, rotten father to both families but now he suddenly returns, a changed man, all righteous and loving without ever having any contact with any of them. How do you love someone you don’t even know? And, another thing, this estranged father thing is exactly a repeat of what they gave us with Clyde. Hey writers, how about a little originality or imagination?

I thought he told Rafe that he had been working security all over the worlld. I didn’t think he said he ws in FBI.

He didn’t.  Rafe was in the FBI not Eduardo.

he told Rafe he was worldwide security (whatever that means) and had been for many years.  Yes, Rafe was FBI not Edwardo.  My bad!

about these absentee daddys returning out of nowhere suddenly acting like fatherof the year. It took his daughter’s death to suddenly make Eddie care about his familia?
And yes, after Martinez’ initial return I too am not seeing any animation in his acting. Maybe it’s how he’s interpreting the role as a kind of loner? Hopefully, like others he will work into it.

I don’t get it. He didn’t come to town when Ariana died or when Gabi went to jail. Now he’s here because of Paige. However all he does is lurk creepily around town. And I agree, his acting is lacking. So is he just going to lurk about town? I don’t see where this is going.

want to reveal too much too fast.  He is portraying a loner, a deadbeat dad, who evidently has never been a guy who wanted to settle down.  True, maybe he should have thought about that after having 4 kids with one woman, leaving her when the youngest was still a toddler, then obviously meeting and marrying another, and leaving them when that child was 10 years old.  I think he is well aware that he’s the scum of the earth, and that his children have every right to treat him like the dirt he is, as well as his ex-wife who just lost their daughter in the worst way imaginable….being murdered.  I think there is a lot he’s hiding, and the writers will bring it out when they feel it needs to be brought out.  Right now they have him playing the "shut up and take it because you deserve it" role, but I have a feeling there is a lot to the character that hasn’t evn come to the surface, and when the time comes, people will feel differently.  That’s the problem I see with most new actors and their characters.  They are judged way too quickly.  A. Martinez is an accomplished actor, and just because we haven’t seen that yet, doesn’t mean it isn’t there.  I’m willing to give him the benefit of proving his worth when his real storyline opens up.

just the way he is playing it. I think he could portray something other than the is-it-time-to-go-home-yet looks he’s been using because I know he’s capable of MUCH more than that. After all, he DID win an Emmy as Cruz in Santa Barbara so we know what he can do. Maybe show some guilt, remorse, anger, sadness…something. To me, he looks very uncomfortable in the role, which we certainly know he is not.

BTW, there is no period after his first name, it is just plain A . Crap, I had to use a period there to end the sentence. Anyway, his name is actually A Martinez. How’s that? :o) Very strange I always thought. His birth name was Adolph but I think I read somewhere or, he may have said it in an interview, that he had it legally changed to A and doesn’t use the period because he doesn’t want it mistaken for an initial. Whatever. Just thought everyone might be interested in knowing that. You never know when something like that will come up in an important conversation.

     According to Wikipedia:

Martinez was born Adolfo Larrue Martinez III in Glendale, California. His family referred to him as "A", "Little Adolfo" and "Little A" as a child to distinguish him from his father and grandfather. Over time, "A" became the name he would use.[1] His heritage is Native AmericanSpanish, and Mexican

he has been on Longmire (A &E) tv show since 2012.

He seems to have Justin pegged.  I liked when he handed Eve a beer and nudged her.  I do find it a bit jarring that Eve just finished burying her daughter and freaking out and then she’s chatting with Theresa about men and pretty much flirting with her ex.  I guess she’s supposed to be in shock.

I thought it was in poor taste for Eve to be so chummy with her ex (who she supposedly hates for deserting her) when she was with Justin!!

She is all about her!  Maybe it is because she thinks that Eddie has money and she’s gonna get her some.

as odd in comparison to her outrage mode that she actually smiled some and engaged in that subject of conversation.

I think they are just beginning to show the tip of this iceberg called Eduardo Larson.  I was glad to hear him imply that he knew exactly what he suspected Justin’s motives to be.  I was also glad to see Eve calm today and not slinging her hate everywhere.  I think there’s going to be a lot of story to tell with Eduardo.  However, even if Eve begins to forgive him slightly, I don’t think Rafe will.  I’m looking forward to Gabbi finding out Eddie is her father, but I’m not so sure she will take Rafe’s side completely. She may even hold it against him, because she might blame Rafe for not telling her Paige was their sister. Good show today!

Our family always had a get-together after the funeral with a party atmosphere. At my brothers funeral, my SIL sat there with her tissue in her hand and said, “I just don’t understand how you can all be so jolly at a time like this. But, it certainly makes the grief easier to bear.”

And my mom always said she wanted everybody to have a big party when she died and that’s exactly what we did. Her best friend came up to me and said, “Boy, wouldn’t Leone be right in the middle of this and so happy to see us having such a good time?”

It’s a good way to help let go of all the tension of the previous days. I think the Irish have it right with their good ol’ Irish wakes. I took Eduardo’s little poke and offer of his beer to Eve as an indication that they once had a very good and fun-loving relationship.
