Yet again this group of writers is re-visiting John’s search for his past. It was never definitely resolved so hopefully he will get answers this time.
I can’t keep track. He’s Forrest Alamaine, he’s a Dimera, he’s Roman Brady, He’s John Black! It could be anything at this point.
if for no other reason than to give John and Marlena the peace of mind he so deserves. I just hope this is finally all going to come to fruition and we will finally know just who his parents are/were. Everything about our show is thrilling me to the bone right now. There’s a lot going on, but I’m absolutely loving it!!!
It’s like the longest drawn out story EVER told on a soap LOL. I’ll be honest – I couldn’t care less who John really is. It’s so past due its expiration date that I lost interest. ESPECIALLY when the Colleen/Santo story was SO well done. I hate that all that was for nothing – makes me care less about who John really is.
At this point just have him be Forrest Alamain – b/c unless you’re tying him to some other family in Salem it really doesn’t matter.
that on the surface it looks like going to the well one time too often. But I have renewed hope that these writers could make it interesting.
Can’t believe this is YOU, TFlo1018. The biggest complaint is that I have never understood why this show doesn’t do proper research to flush out backstories, and no one has a bigger one than "The Pawn!" Maybe you don’t want to know, but I sure do. I will say, though, that once John finds out who he truly is, that will be that with no more changes to this man’s true history. I know one thing; I’d bet he’s not Forrest Alamain, no matter how much Vivian would swear he is!
I was SO into the Colleen/Santo storyline and I loved him as half Brady and half DiMera. It made SO much sense of Stefano’s hatred for him. And then he came back and it was a BLIP – "oh yea, hey, he’s not the kid of Colleen." It was like barely mentioned coming back from commercial. You basically slapped me in the face after watching a summer worth of story and BOOM – took it all away. Very disappointing.
