I just read an article where Susan Seaforth Hayes says she’ll be giving Doug’s euology on the show that will be pretty much the same one she gave for Bill. She was grateful to the producers for allowing that. Doug’s illness is supposed to start this coming week but nothing revealed yet about the dates for his passing and funeral on the show.
Thank you for this info, doolfan. I have been wondering when Doug’s memorial would be and also how he would die on the show. Looks like from the article, it will be an illness.
I just watched previews for I guess November and December. They are on the Days instagram acct. I am so sad just from the previews. Also there were some scenes with Marlena regarding John. The fall and Christmas season looks good, but at the same time, so much sadness. At least we can say there is some drama and romance coming. That’s what I look forward to on my soap.
Mommytutu thanks for the heads up. I just watched the Instagram previews at least thru Christmas and perhaps beyond. Exciting stories coming up and returning cast members.
This week’s spoilers say Paul and Belle return for John and Marlena’s anniversary but John is a no show. This is so sad, it must have been taped when Drake was so ill.
Yes, it was. The last time we saw John was the day Brady got out of jail, the first time. That was his last appearance. Drake left after that and never returned. I’m sure some of the tears we will see will be genuine tears. I’ve also heard that when Doug’s funeral is held, Susan Seaforth Hayes will give the eulogy she gave to Bill Hayes at his actual funeral, but with Doug’s name.
