1. What has happened to Paulina? She’s treating Jada and especially Rafe as if they’re incompetent. What an insult to Rafe to offer him the position of Rat Zsar. Also, she seems more overbearing than usual with Lonnie and Eli and their kids. Respect the parent’s wishes on opening gifts.
2. The Christmas Eve hanging of the ornaments was especially touching this year. Julie (Susan) did an outstanding job paying tribute to Doug. It must have been so difficult for her to do so; I think the tears were real.
3. I guess the Greens and their mom are off screen for a while in Vancouver. It’s supposed to be winter break from school, probably about two weeks, but knowing Days timelines it could be a lot longer.
4. The scenes of Marlena and Brady discussing John were heartbreaking. I had tears when she received the locket from Brady and the package from John.
I was out of town for nearly two weeks and couldn’t watch. I’m going to do some catching up this week. If I get two or three episodes a day in, I’ll be caught up by next week.
As for Paulina, I do think they are leading up to a dementia storyline or brain tumor story, like her thyroid cancer spread. She has been acting oddly for a few months and even called Stephanie her baby girl once.
I will probably cry through the ornament scene and anything to do with John. I’m still so sad about Drake’s passing.
