ParticipantI’ve never been a parent but I would never allow my baby in acting. That poor Collin clearly not happy with the proceedings. With those lifelike substitutes these days, do they even need human babies?

ParticipantThey use real children for certain scenes and the phonies for other scenes. The phony babies really aren’t that great…u can always tell. But i agree…I wouldnt let my baby do it. That poor little baby with the tears running down the cheeks…OMG I so wanted someone to grab that baby and make it all better.

Participantand comfort him so bad. He cries a lot, and yesterday with the tears, that killed me. If I was the mom standing off stage, I’d have to go get him lol!

ParticipantI think if you watch closely you can tell that the baby wasn’t really crying…I’m pretty sure it was a recording.

Participantwithout a problem because he cried constantly for his entire first year!!! It seemed nothing I could do would comfort him. In retrospect, I think a lot of it was inexperience on my part and probably a lot of colic to boot.

Participantremember they are using twins and the amount of time in front of the cmera is tightly regulated. Oe seems like forever might have been just a few minutes. I also thought some of the crying was added in.
I must say that the actors working with the babies do a great job

Participantthey have dolls today that can assimilate lifelike babies with moveable parts just as if it were a real baby. That little guy just about broke my heart yesterday.

Participanton the baby’s face and in/around his eyelids because that baby had literal tears running down his face. Broke my heart.

Participantnot to have real tears in his eyes. His little tiny body was practically heaving when he was crying.

ParticipantThe first one never slept and cried a lot. Of she’s brilliant now and as a teenager could sleep until noon if we let her.

Participantbecause newborns do not produce tears until they are several months old, only enough to keep their eyes moist and then not until they are two weeks old.
I don’t think for the short time that baby cried it was at all harmful. After all, they do need to cry to develop their lungs. I would like to see a mother with a baby that is picked up the moment it cries.
