I was loving this show, until I had to deal with Andre. Am I really supposed to believe that he has access to drugs that will make Chad do his bidding? Why all the build up to Chad and Abigail, if I’m going to have to suffer through Chad and Belle? I like Thao, but as Tony, not Andre, so they they can go ahead and kill him off now. I foresee a lot of ff’ing if he’s on too much with this lame storyline.
noticing this, and it seems to be really bugging Thaao, who has been very active on Twitter. Fans are beginning to complain about Andre, and Thaao is beginning to sound defensive, blaming the writers and asking fans to realize "this is a soap opera" and asking us to recognize that Andre only does what the writers tell him to do. Sort of made me LOL, because TP’s been bragging a little too loudly on his twiter feed and he obviously does not like to hear the criticism. Too bad, ole’ boy, that’s what fans do when they don’t like what’s happening on their tv screens.

The problem with Andre is that he’s a cartoon – sort of what Stef turned into before Joe got sick. Not at all beliveable as a REAL bad guy – just snarky with an evil laugh. Kinda like Gargamel from the Smurfs. Let’s give Andre a fluffy cat to stroke and call it a day. Seriously – give me back Clyde over him any day.
On that note – don’t go on Twitter and brag about the GREAT stuff coming IF you are not prepared to handle the backlash. I mean did Thaao REALLY think this was good stuff? He should certainly know better.
Patty & TFlo – you two are right on the mark….he IS a cartoon – much like I always said Susan was….VIctor is a much more subtle, intimidating villain-with-a-heart-of gold, Clyde was damn mean, even Eduardo has it going for him…but Andre is positively laughable – I agree to give him a cat and crook his finger and have him as for One Millllllllllion Dollars, a la Dr. Evil. The DiMera’s have always had their own cache of mind-screwing devices, chips, formulas, don’t we remember? But please, TP is too charming a guy to play this part. Let’s kill him off maybe when they lose Daniel. That would be an intresting SL, and would get Victor and Stef at each other’s throats again.
Wow, I love the title, Jump the shark, cause that is exactly what I thought about the show lately.
Not only is Thaao saying this stuff was good, many others were too. However, I feel this whole big Bicentential storyline was disappointing and definitely overhyped. All that buildup for one short episode.
At since then, it has been ONE DAY!! I think these writers are in over their heads and they are returning to thesame ole storylines.
You guys know how that bugs me, lol!!! I’m back to feeling skeptical about the show I’ve loved since I was little.
Where in the world are they finding that bad harlequin romance wardrobe he is wearing? Every time I see him I just want to turn off the sound. And by the way, PLEASE stop demeaning the character of Stefano by continually having him concede to Andre. I know that Stefano is probably not long for the show but does he have to go out on such a pathetic note? He can’t control Andre at all and it just makes him look sad . Give him one more big storyline….getting rid of Andre and then send him off in a manner befitting the character we all love to hate, please.
Holy crap this show is jumping an army of sharks! WTF with that Chad brainwashing sequence??? When I saw a flash of kittens and then Belle’s face I almost peed myself laughing. And Andre’s endless supply of ill fitting rumpled Victorian jackets are hilarious. As for John and Marlena, enough already! They are both acting so stupid. Obviously Chad didn’t do this.

After seeing your comment, I started looking at the actors on twitter. Looks like Jen Lilley has a movie tomorrow night on Lifetime, The Spirit of Christmas. I’m interested to see her in a role different than Theresa.
Everything you said! I was loving the show, and now I’m ready to skip through most of it. We need one big catastrophe to kill off Andre and Ava. Get a new actress to play Ciera, because not only can the new girl not act, she has no emotions or expressions on her face. Kind of reminds me of Kristin Stewart. It doesn’t matter what the emotion, the expression and delivery are always the same.
