Uh-uh, I don’t think so. No DA has the authority to unilaterally decide to drop all charges in the unexplained death of someone. I’m thinking it would at least have to go to the Grand Jury for a determination. I think maybe Days needs to hire a legal consultant.
It’s funny how Justin went after Chad like a rabid badger, and then with Hope he’s like, oh, yeah, we understand. You were under a lot of pressure. Never mind.
I’m sure Justin’s actions were due to the last name DiMera…I’m also sure that if you draw out the family tree, Justin is related to hope someway via Adrienne, Steve, Kayla, Bo, etc.
it looks to me like Lani is trouble brewing. Either she’s jealous of the Hope/Rafe thing or – and possibly and – she’s suspicious of Hope’s confession and wants to make a name for herself on the force.
My impression is that they are not pressing charges but they do suspect that Hope is involved. I think that they are doing this so she thinks she is in the clear and messes up. JMHO
