I find it somewhat unrealistic that Ciara is pushing to unite Hope and Rafe. Down the line maybe, but it’s only been weeks since Bo died and coupled with the Aiden tragedy plus the fact that Ciara was so close to her dad, I just can’t see a teenager moving past that so quickly. I think she realizes that her mom needs some stability and support which Rafe would supply, not to mention protection, so maybe that’s where she’s coming from?
and she’s using her recognition of his feelings for Hope, knowing he’ll come running if she calls and says, or tries to say, it’s Hope’s idea. She really is being written poorly, since it was obvious how much she loved Bo and for her to try and erase him from her and Hope’s lives is just so unbelievable. Plus, the actress is really not performing well in the role and is still very annoying to me for other reasons besides her trying to push Rafe on Hope.
SL for me – a kind of triangle with mother and daughter. I mean we already have a 16 yr old Joey crushing on Ava. Do we really need this? When Peter Reckell said Ciara would be “carrying on the mantle” of Bo, this hardly seems that.
Most of the teens except Claire and Theo are a bust so far and I would love to see Theo developed more with the autism angle. I still think the Days canvas is too crowded with little time to delve into possibilities and SLs with interesting content.we’re a week away from the start of sweeps (2/4 – 3/2), and with the stories we’re watching now, what’s to root for or even get excited about. So far, not much is holding my interest. I would much rather be watching sls for other cast members who seem to have been back burnered for now, and not so much as the ones we are continuing to see. I realize Andre finding Stefano’s body will and should be one of the front-runner sls for February sweeps, but that will undoubtedly have to include Hope and Rafe, as well as Chad and Abby, 4 characters which could use a break from the front burner for a while, at least IMO!
