Loved it!  Very well done.  Of course we knew Eduardo was gonna get shot but still very good.  I thought the character of Loni did her best acting when just firing the gun.  She showed more emotion than usual.

and JJ, as well, went in with guns blazing.  I love A Martinez and hope he’s going to recover and reunite with his family in a good way for a change.

I’m enjoying A’s portrayal.  He reminds me a little of Charles Bronson, a real man’s man.  I hadn’t seen him in anything since "The Cowboys" back in the 70s.  Anyway, I like the character Eduardo and hope A gets a long term contract.

more appealing since he first came to Salem. I doubt we’ll ever see a big warmup but yes, the Bronson comparison is applicable. I would like to see the connection with Rafe and Gabi grow and eventually an interesting lady for him.

I don’t see what you guys are seeing at all. IMO, his acting (in spite of him being a seasoned soap veteran) is painful to watch. I haven’t seen one scene of his that I felt comfortable with.

Right down to his ridic hat LOL…

My Mom was a big Santa Barbara fan and loved him and Eden.  But me, I’m kinda meh about him…  I also thought the shootout scene was ridic.  A lot of bullets for not a lot of people.  It was like a bootleg action flick.  What is this – general hospital?  LOL

how much of his performance may be due to direction. Perhaps they want him to be the strong silent type with his painful background/trained hitman resulting in little show of emotion. I just can’t see a veteran actor suddenly not being able to act or unable to pick up a character.
Omar Shariff was frustrated in his role of Dr. Zhivago that he vented with director David Lean on why he couldn’t let loose more in his scenes. Lean told him he wanted Dr. Z to merely be an observer in the part and thus more contained in his acting.

I agree. That silly facial fuzz thingie is old school and has got to go. Makes him look like he is trying to be a teenager again. Or dye it so it looks less like grandpa time and more like a serious hit assassin or whatever they want him to be.
He acts well but the seriousness factor drops a few degrees when that thing moves with his lips…

Since John & Eduardo were trainer assassins, you would think they would have better aim, but I guess they had to shoot quickly & didn’t have time to aim.

.. at their target.  They are very methodical and patient.

John and Ed’s aim was affected by the liquid they had to drink.
