     click on create content (on the left) then select Forum Topic, the a page will appear, on the second line, you will see forums and  pick the one you want.  Then type in the body, it did take me a while to figure this out.

     I’ve been clicking the New Topic bar over and over and over again until eventually it pops in, but this is much better.  Thanks for the excellent tip!

    I got as far as being able to pick the forum, but it still won’t let me type anything in the body…..
