I truly don’t get many of these song selections this season. I mean Mrs. Robinson for Casey? What does that have to do with him or his style?
ITA the duets last night far outshined the solos. Lee and Crystal were terrific. And Casey sure is some guitarist.
So who goes? I think will be between Mike and Casey.I agree – Mike or Casey will go. I voted a ton of times for Crystal – even on her ‘down’ weeks she is still superb.
I wouldn’t mind if she and Lee cut a single together – their duet was great – I KNEW they were going to sing something from that movie!
I’m going to go FF’d thru the show again because the song choices that they were doing last night weren’t memorable or hold my interests so I was flipping back and forth between channels. Finale – will still be between Mike and Crystal – and I hope it’s Crystal who wins.
will be voted off tonight! Now I’ll definitely go pay more attention to last nights and tonights show! They’d better step it up a notch or two!
It’s just one this week. A couple of weeks ago they announced how many weeks until the finale and one per week puts them on target.
but I think Crystal will be the new American Idol (and hopefully the last). Casey should have been gone weeks and weeks ago, but he looks the part, and that’s all the young voters care about. Mike being sent home over Casey just proves that. Too bad, but Mike is truly "too" big. He doesn’t fit the look of a recording star, but he sure does have a terrific voice. He needs to tone down the body building though, if you ask me. Those big biceps, neck, shoulders, etc., don’t impress the kids. That’s why Casey is still around … because he looks like a teen idol.
Ruben Studdard didn’t look the part either. BTW, what ever happened to him? I’ve heard of all the others – even Taylor is/was on Broadway – but not Rube?
with more experience but you are correct again Patti – he will look good on an album (excuse me CD) cover…and the teenyboppers heartthrob magazines…he is a cutiepie.
As for Mike – yes, big teddy bear guy with a heart of gold, but I think even though he didn’t win – he was favored by the judges and all of them (except Ellen) are big in the music industry so I don’t think he’s going to have to worry about a future in music…
I haven’t heard of a lot of the Idols since they were on – but then I’m old and not so much into music anymore – but I did catch Daughtry last night and I’d definitely listen to/purchase their album – and probably would/will buy Crystal’s as well – to compare with my Janis Joplin CD. She reminds me so much of her.
