So DOOL is moving to NOON in New York? A major time change for a HUGE market is NEVER a good sign. I think this is the beginning of the end folks
I hope not. A few years back they switched the time in NY. I can’t remember if it was to noon or 2 pm but then they changed it back.
But the climate was different then – SOAPs weren’t dropping like flies. A lot of soaps suffer time changes before the axe now
And with Meghan whats her face going to NBC…………….. I dunno. Megyn Kelly, formerly with Fox, has now been hired by NBC and will have a "daytime" show, and 1:00 p.m. will be her timeslot. I don’t think DOOL is going anywhere…..yet!!! JMO!
At least it’s not as bad as my experience when I lived in UT. They moved the show from 1 PM to 1 AM! I recorded the show, but what about viewers who didn’t have that option?
I mentioned that on this thread too…. but who knows. It’s a big deal for a market like NY. It’s not like it’s changing time slots in Boise, Idaho. I dunno Patti – I’d be shocked if we get a renewal honestly. It’s so darn bad lately – and the writers "promise" all these changes and then we say "I’m waiting for the new writers material" and it never gets better
Yeah it’s probably not a good sign. We have been dreading this for quite some time. Would love one more year with a great blowout storyline that brings everyone back but I seriously doubt this will happen.
that’s a certainty. I’m so sick of Nicole, Deimos, Brady, Chloe, Hope, Rafe, etc., etc., etc., and this whole Stefano being alive sl just bugs the hell out of me, because it was filmed before Joe died and that’s the only reason it was kept in. I do, however, believe the networks will give DOOL one more year. If I’m right, we would have to see an announcement before March. Then, if the writers can’t pull this show out of the fire, they might as well jump in with it!
Local news is on at noon in the Detroit area, in the same time zone as NYC. I wonder if Days time will change or if Megyn Kelly will be on at a different time here.
On Friday’s Inside Edition, it was announced that several cast members of DOOL were told that 2017 might be the final year for the daytime drama. Megyn Kelly is leaving FOX to have her own show on NBC and she will need a favorable time slot.
