I feel a bit sorry for Casey though. He about did as much as he could with that John Mayer song. But a low-key number like “Daughters” can’t possibly compete with the inspirational rock/gospel feel of Lee’s Hallelujah.
Still, I can’t believe Casey would make it into the finals. He just isn’t the caliber of the other two.
because I thought the finale would be a Mike / Crystal – but I’m still thinking all the little girls will vote for Casey…(it’s not on here for another 35 minutes) so will have to wait and see – Lee has really come up in the last few weeks – so Lee/Crystal show would be a cliffhanger!
Up until tonight I thought it would be Crystal all the way. Now I’m thinking Lee’s got a chance. He was the best tonight on both songs. Simon did good when he hinted that he was involved in the arrangement and it showed that someone was guiding him. If this were the finale I’d say Lee would win.
based on her diversity. Lee has a great voice but for me tends to sound the same on every song. Crystal has changed it up more, taken more chances. Although as far as record selling probably Lee has the upper hand. I would love to see that Crystal/Lee duet come out on the radio.
Dial Idol which usually gets the predictions correct this late in the season has Lee with the most votes this week (double the person belowe him), followed by Crystal and Casey going home.
for those of you on the west coast (as I am – but I read results on web) – Casey is gone. I’m sure he’ll get a contract out there someday though. I’m really looking forward to next weeks showdown between Crystal and Lee.
