Boy are the writers pounding home the liberal talking points. I seriously doubt ICE would have the Salem PD chasing her like hounds after a rabbit. Lani said something about ICE having them do their dirty work. GMAFB.
I am so sick of this agenda driven storyline. ICE doesn’t work that way. If they are looking for Haley, then they’ll search for her. If she ended up in jail for a crime, then the Salem PD would be asked to hold her and turn her over to ICE. This storyline is getting in my last nerve. I hope JJ marries her and ends this nonsense soon so the writers can get over themselves.
…she wouldn’t even be a high priority for them. Illegal entry is a misdemeanor. The writers just love to misrepresent law enforcement.
Looks to me like they want to say it should be okay for anyone to come here illegally. I live in a border state. Illegal entry is a huge problem.
I’ve seen it on other networks’ shows as well. ABC’s "The Rookie" broached another subject which I won’t mention on this post because I don’t want to start an argument. It was stereotypical and fit "the narrative", but didn’t accurately represent the facts. People on the show’s Facebook page agreed with my statement.
I wish they would leave politics out of my soap opera. Have your opinion, voice it in your private life, not on the job. To me this is the writers getting political on the job. And what’s worse is they’ve made two of the most disliked characters, Eve and Claire, the only people voicing a secure border opinion.
