I missed the first episode with Shane in it. (OK his return… LOL)
I saw it yesterday and he appears to be in the clink with Rafe. Why?
Why is Shane in this obscure Latino country that has telephones that look like the ones in Mexico, use Pesos as currency, but isn’t Mexico… and it’s some country that the US (or just Salem LOL) severed diplomatic ties with?
Is it supposed to be Cuba, maybe? Cuba’s currency is also the Peso…
Anyway, I digress… how did Shane come to be there?

accused Shane of supposedly starting an assasination on somebody and that someone spying on Shane supposititiously or spuriously on a syntheticly sincere sanctioned charge to land him in the slammer?????
This is somewhere in South America,( where Anna was hiding in a remote area) but also where Caliope ended up and Rafe finding them there.
there is no country in either South or Central America that has broken dislopatic relations with the US…except Cuba and that’s been going on for years. I guess we’ll have to assume it’s Cuba?
I just invented a new word…I like it. Of course I meant "diplomatic."
And, speaking of ess words, how about my favorite assesses. Eight letters and five of them are esses. Bet there’s not other work like it. I challenge anyone.
But only came to me when somebody mentioned there was no consulate or whatnot. It’s the only Spanish-speaking country that I could think of right away. That doesn’t mean I have it right – I’m no political science expert by any means.
But yeah, for an obscure place, there’s quite a connection to Salem!
BTW – has Anna just been dropped off the canvas? She was in hospital, are we to assume that they’ll come back to her at some point and she’s just in suspended animation til then, (and Stef hasn’t finished her off without Rafe to protect her?)…or is that just going to be another loose end that never gets tied up?

….. so anyway, I thought they were supposed to be in Argentina, and Shane was accused of having made an assassination attempt on the President of that country, which he actually did not do but IS on an ISA mission, undercover naturally, which has yet to be explained.
we’ll see her in a few years waking up in the bed that she’s still in…or else Stephano will have spirited her away to some cave or island…
I’ve only been watching sporadically but I did read that Anna woke up and said EJ was behind the kidnapping but no one was there to hear her. I’d also read on Days Cafe that Shane is going to help Rafe find Anna so it sounds like she’s either been or will be released from the hospital or Stefano has her hidden someplace.
