OK I’m no fashion maven, and normally I don’t pay attention to superficial stuff, but I can’t stand it anymore. Nicole has had the ugliest blouse (if you can call it that) on for a week’s worth of our time. I know it’s the same day in Salem or whatnot, but if I have to look at that blouse for one more day I’m going to scream.
I first noticed when she was doing the "report" outside the Brady Pub. Since when do news reporters wear blouses that are off the shoulder like that? Ummm NEVER. It was so far down her arm that it looked like it was too big for her and about to fall off. Then in another scene it was pulled up ON the shoulder and it’s been all up and down since.
The color is SO not good for Ari… the thing has no shape. Ari Zucker could make a burlap sack look good, but not this blouse. It has to be about the most unflattering thing I’ve seen on an actress anywhere, in a long long time. It looks about 4 sizes too big for her, it just kind of "hangs" there – it’s driving me nuts.
I really hope the character has had a chance to change her clothes before today’s show!
OK… /rant mode: off
LOL!

June 9, 2010 at 12:54 pm #13494caseyParticipantand thought the color looked good on her (I’m partial to polka dots), but I am getting a bit tired of looking at it. And yes absolutely, SO unprofessional to have it off the shoulder!
I guess that’s why there are so many styles out there – different strokes for different folks.June 9, 2010 at 2:12 pm #13495PattiParticipantbut it’s nowhere near as horrid as those butt-ugly diamond patterned leggings Sami’s been wearing all week, and E.J. may be hot, but that pink shirt and tie, along with the ill-fitting suit – have to go (can’t we see him in some nice jeans and tee-shirt occasionally — same with Phillip). Ari still had the ugly top on yesterday, but at least she covered it up with her ‘Members Only’ jacket (Brady had one on too but in tan — how cute (ugh) — (said with sarcasm). Please, DOOL, make today’s show a new day.
June 9, 2010 at 2:17 pm #13498mommytutuParticipantI have degree in broadcasting and can tell you the outfit was inappropriate for TV. I remember doing a "mock newscast" in college and the only thing I received low marks for was the fact that I was wearing dangly earrings–I had long hair so they weren’t that obvious, but they were obvious enough to my professor who said they were a distraction. If that that blouse Nicole had on wasn’t a distraction, I don’t know what it is. She looked like an ad for an escort service not a newscaster.
June 9, 2010 at 2:53 pm #13502BonbonParticipantPlease, take it off and throw it in the Salem River. While I don’t think the color is that bad, the blouse is HORRID!
And hasn’t this been the longest night ever? I was days ago that Philip and Melanie went to be for the evening (not for playtime ) and look where they’ve been since. Same with Hope. How long ago did she take her sleeping pill? I can’t even keep track of who’s done what since the day was "over."
June 9, 2010 at 6:00 pm #1350853tdogsParticipantoutfits to get some more wear out of them and that’s where the blue blouse comes in?
June 9, 2010 at 6:32 pm #13509jewelgalParticipantshe’s probably trying to hide pregnancy weight gain (I know I am)
Speaking of bad wardrobe
dang, Philip’s nasty tank and shorts on yesterdays show was more than I could handle.June 9, 2010 at 11:16 pm #13522imported_JennMParticipantI thought he was wearing boxers too but I think they were pajama pants.
The writers (and the actor) seem to have forgotten that Philip lost a leg. No more limp… no indication that he’s got something missing.
I was almost expecting them to do a full-body shot of him in his jammies so that you’d see he had 2 legs.
Maybe in Salem, a lost limb can grow back. After all, he had a face transplant, maybe they did a leg transplant too.
BTW – this is not making fun of real-life amputees. On the contrary, I think Days is making a mockery out of being an amputee.
