Thes two, at the very least, need a peep hole. At best, they need a Ring camera. Who just opens there door not knowing who’s on the other side?
Marlena should have been on high alert after John just told her Orpheus was back in town, even if he did say he was in jail. If nothing else, she could have said, "Who is it?" before opening the door. Even after she opened the door, she still had an opportunity to slam the door in his face and lock it. But, she just stood there like a deer in the headlights!
